A never ending dream

Chapter five: true love

I wake up from an endless dream once more and hope to dream a better life with my love, I look out the window. It's been 3 months since me and Bradley had spoken, after the day I had told him my feelings for him he had seemed to become distant. I smile at him through the window but he doesn't smile, just keeps walking like no ones there, I can't help but feel that I shouldn't have told him my feelings. But there's something that puzzles me, if he doesn't like me then why did he kiss me? It just doesn't make sense,

Today at school I see Bradley walk out the gates and I follow, I stop him, "if you don't like me then why did you kiss me?" ..... There was a long pause until he walked away but this time I stopped him. Why do you turn your back on me? Why don't you love me back? Why don't you smile back at me every morning when I see you? Why do you act like a stranger, and why did you kiss me and act like nothing happened?..."because I like you and I don't want to hurt you" he spoke as quiet as a mouse.
"How can you hurt me, your hurting me by not being with me, how can you say you don't want to hurt me?" Suddenly he grabs me once more like when we were in the park, but instead of kissing me he spoke tenderly," I have cancer!"
