A friend of mine just went there for vacation. It reminded me how beautiful this city was (and probably still is). It has been quite a few years since I was there. I just want to write a poem before my memory fades away ....
In the summer she doesn't see the dark
In the winter she doesn't see the light
Palaces and catherdrals lie on your river shore
You are a beautiful city with a storied past
Amazed at the stunning artwork and sculpture
I lost myself in the maze in Hermitage
A funny thought suddenly came to my mind
I wonder what the Tsar was doing with no Internet
The stars were fading, the flurry was gone
The golden dome dominated the skyline
On the airplane I whispered to myself
I hope I would see this beauty again soon
