Chapter 3

Chapter three 

I looked at him like he was crazy. Me fight the darkness? I run away from spiders how am I supposed to fight the darkness. 

" I'm sorry I must've missed understood you but what?" 

" you heard me right maribelle. You are meant to help fight the darkness . You are what we call our special weapon." 

" me? You've mistaken me with somebody else, I'm not meant to fight." 

" I knew she wasn't ready for this, Claudius. We shouldve approached this differently," Adrian said. 

I couldn't help but feel offended. Does he think I'm not good enough or something? 

" maribelle, look at me. I know it's hard to believe but your meant for greater things. You're someone very special. There's a lot that you need to know," Claudius told me. 

So many questions spinner through my head. I'm so confused. Why am I meant for greater things and fight the darkness? I'm no one special, I'm just an average teenager. 

"would you two mind leaving us alone?" Claudius spoke. 

" I think I should stay he-" Adrian was cut off by claudius. 

" I will handle it Adrian , no need to worry," he gave him a pointed look. 

When the doors closed behind me, Claudius stood up and sat beside me.  

" would you mind explaining to me what this is all about." 

" it starts way back before man came to be, when god was the only one to walk this earth, so he thought. As you may have heard before there's a balance between good and evil. The other creature that also walked was Satan. He had a twisted mind. When god crossed upon him he tried to help the creature, thinking he was in pain. As he walked towards Satan, he heard a strange sound, like a ferocious animal devouring something. God looked over satans shoulder and found him sucking the life out of a woman. Before you get confused god had already created man and woman. God was appalled at the sight. Satan looked up to him with such bloody eyes and hatred , he tried to kill god, but he didn't succeed. God vanquished him to the depths of the earth, the infierno, hell. He returned to the woman deciding to give her a proper burial, but was shocked as to what he saw. The woman was dead, but she had been mothering a child. Thinking two lives had been lost he didn't expect to see bloodied creature crawl out of the mothers womb. He took the child in and decided to raise it. Many years later the child was then the age of twenty four. He looked as normal as can be, but there was something off about him. A sort of darkness always surrounded him even though he acted like a good man. God didn't suspect anything, he thought he had raised a wonderful child, he was wrong. God hadn't realized that the child he had raised had a connection with Satan. Satan could whisper into the childs mind, telling him to do his bidding. Though Satan hadn't expected that the man would fall in love, which he did. His love was so beautiful and pure that he didn't want to do the bad things Satan told him to, he came clean and told the woman what he had done. At first she was mortified but forgave him. He had asked for her forgiveness but she told him ' it is not I should ask for forgiveness but to god,' and he did. But there's more, he thought that every would turn out alright, his life would go back to normal and raise a family with his love, he had just discovering he was going to have a child. He was filled with joy that he had not noticed a man following him one day. It was no other than satans apparition. He was angry at the man, and decided to possess his body. He killed and killed people for many months. He finally came to the mans home one day. The woman had just given birth to a healthy boy. Satan was disgusted at the all the happiness he decided to kill them. He killed the woman and was just about to finish the baby when god appeared ' you will not harm this innocent boy' god told Satan , ' you will stay locked in hell for eternity' ,' you're a fool almighty, if you are not to kill the boy I can possess him,' Satan laughed tauntingly,' that is where you're wrong , this child was made of pure love and light, it is true a small part of you lies within him, but it will do you know good because it is he who can defeat you', Satan was shocked and tried to grab for the boy, before he was sucked back into hell, he said a curse' no man can defeat me because it is he who I possessed , only a woman can be the savior but she will never be, as only he would bear boys not girls,' with that he was gone. Throughout the baby boy's bloodline there's been only boys born, until this day. It is said she is a miracle because she is the key to relinquish the evil from this earth," with that Claudius finished. 

I was stunned at the story but I was confused or more in denial as his words sunk in. 

" and who is this girl?" I whispered. 

" you, my dear."
