The walk with Mr. Aldaine is refreshing after what just happened. And I don't want to go back home.
When we walk around for about 20 minutes just making casual small talk, we run into Xander.
Mr. Aldaine greets him kindly and asks how he's settling in. "Fine." he answers gruffly and he keeps looking back and forth at us like we've committed a sin. Yeah it probably looks weird that I'm out of school with a teacher but we aren't doing anything...
"Well it was nice seeing you Xander, but we must continue our walk." Mr. Aldaine says and starts to move again. Xander just stands there staring at me. I walk on.
"Are you friends with him? I've seen you talk to him at school."
Mr. Aldaine asks."No I'm not friends with him." It's weird that he noticed who I talked to...
We continue our walk around the block quietly and he takes me home.
"Are you sure you're okay? I don't want to see you crying..." He looks like he's restraining himself from something."I'm fine really. Thanks for the walk." I say giving him a small smile. And head inside, because my step dad's car wasn't there anymore. Thankfully.
I run to my room and lock the door just to be sure. Then I fall asleep to nightmares...
