Can't Stop Smiling With Them

Chapter 4

I stood by Sam, he was smiling. I thought we were just going to talk.

Instead we toke a short walk around the park. We talked about ourselves and our embarrassing stories and stuff like that.

We started walking back home. Then we hear someone scream.

Sam and I looked at each other. We didn't want to get involved, but there was someone in danger.

Sam said, "Stay at the park, I will go check it out."

I knew I wouldn't do that.

"I am not leaving your sight, what if something bad happens, and you have no one it help you." I said.

Sam looked at me for a moment, and just nodded.

I walked with Sam behind him. I got my phone out just in case I needed to call the cops.

We heard rustling, I kept checking around me. Everytime. So no one will jump behind me.

Sam looked back at me once. Then 10 seconds later he did again. We were still walking on the sidewalk on Charles Street.

Sam and I heard screaming again. I saw lights come on from a house.

A woman walked outside in her robe, and house shoes.

She looked at us. We kept on walking then...

"Are you kids making a commotion around here?" The woman said.

I quietly screamed "No, we heard someone scream and we want to help."

She nodded. Sam stopped, I was quiet. Sam was looking in an alley.

Of course a dark creppy alley.

Sam stared in the complete darkness. He stood back, with me still behind him.

I grabbed a sharp stick.

"Evie... run.." Sam said

I walked back slowly. Taking one step back. I heard growling.

I saw yellow glowing eyes. Walking towards us.

I started jogging. Sam was behind me.

The beast came out of the darkness. It was a dog. The dog had blood dripping from it's mouth. I was terrified.

I walked back slowly. Sam and I started sprinting.

I could hear the dog running behind us.

The woman quickly told us to come in her home.

Sam and I sprinted to the house. The three of us made it in.

I heard the dog scratching at the door. And barking like crazy!

The woman told us to sit on the couch.

I toke a seat next to Sam on the sofa.

I saw Sam's face. It was pale.

I looked at him. And he looked passed out.

I looked down and I saw that the dog just didn't run towards us. He bit Sam on the ankle. Sam was in very severe pain.

I called the ambulance, and animal control. They both arrived at the same time.

They toke Sam in the ambulance truck. They told me too come. I hopped in the truck.

Sam looked awful. I hope he will get through this alive.
