It was where I was born
and where I came to be
I had stood on her doorstep more than a few times
Wondering if I could come in
While she patiently waited for me to decide.
She has had pleasantries and she will again if that's what I need
For now I'll enjoy her company
Not worry about if I'll leave again
Tomorrow
The day after
Or even the day after that.
We talk about how things have been
What's changed
What's stayed the same.
I was born here
And this is where I'll die
But for now it's just her, and me, and this cup of tea.
AN: I thought it would be appropriate to make this poem the 29th chapter of the book. Call me cheesy but hey- I'm a writer. I'm full of cliches. I hope this chapter finds everybody well! Thanks for reading and don't forget to vote if you liked it!
