Year by year they all got weaker
Listening, oh listening to their keeper
It started out small
With some change, that’s all
From the czars who wear their capes
Tight around their napes
Put in charge by the man who promised change
Oh boy did they get change
But no one thought it strange
All puppets to the law
That is what brought their fall
From democracy to totalitarian
All the rules for their good
But a few understood
They were lied to from the start
And they know in their heart
They can never be free from the clutches of the man
So they’ve produced a brilliant plan
Painting scarlet in the streets
With the czars beneath their feet
Freedom in their minds
Anger in their souls
And they fill the gaping holes
Society has oppressed upon them
Revolution, breaking free
We all know how the world really needs to be
