Chapter Nine

Kai's POV

I watched Zee as he ran out the room. I looked at Mike and Ty. I pointed in the direction of Zee's exit, they shocked their head as they stood up.
"He's you're best friend." Mike said patting my head.
"I'm not a dog." I said grabbing his hand.
"No you're not but you're Kai" Ty said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I said as I switched my weight and crossing my arms.
"Hey um Ty ?"
"Yeah let's go before she curses us out." They said backing up, heading towards the door. Ty turned around facing me.
"Hey Kai are you coming out tonight? You know its a full moon right?" He gave me this devilish smile and waited for my response.
"Of course I know and yes of course" I smiled my devilish smile back to him.
"Good we wouldn't want you to miss out on tonight?" He said standing by the door.
"What's happening tonight?" Mike asked
"Nothing Mike. I catch you later Kai." Ty said as he turned around walking Mike out with his hand on his shoulder. He turned around one more time and winked at me before making a left. Tonight was going to be different I could feel it. But I'm worried about Zee, he's hiding something. But I don't know whether or not I should get involved. It must be about Jessica. I looked at my watch and notice I was still in my gym clothes. I sighed and cursed under my breath. I hope Ms. C will call us down later I need to go change and go to class.

Zeeray's POV

I'm worried about kai but I can't focus on that. I see the car.
"Yo Aaron hurry up and open up so we can go"
"Alright alright" I saw the glint of the gun under the dashboard but I waited until we got out of the school before I grabbed it.
"Yo Aaron you sure the boss wants me there"
"Yeah he said it himself" I started calming myself down like I always do before I go into the territory
"Hey Aaron so where are we gonna do it at"
" I don't know yet but I heard a couple of cruds are coming into our territory so we are gonna have to end them" Wait cruds shit that's where kai lives I hope she isn't out tonight
"Yo zee we r here hurry up" I get out the car and go into the boss mansion. When we go into the mansion there is a huge room with a chandelier and a small wooden table under it. A butler comes up to me.
"Hello master Zeeray"
"Hello Damian"
"The boss says you have to change before you go see him"
"I understand" Damian than escorted me to a small room. In that room there a TV and speakers there was also game systems and in the middle was a table with my tux inside on it.
"I will call you when the boss is ready" "Ok I understand thank you" Damian left me in that room so I changed and I was watching TV. Damian knocked on the door and said
"Master zeeray the boss is ready" I open the door and walk out. I hope gramps gives me a promotion.

Kai's POV

I walked into sixth period and sat down at my desk. I wasn't paying attention to my surrounding when my friend Kehlani threw a piece of candy at me. I looked down to see a unopened kit Kat. I gasped.
"MINE!" I said grabbing and glaring at everyone looking at me.
"I swear she needs mental help." Ty said to Kehlani.
"Yeah I know but its Kai." Kehlani said, Ty thought about it and nodded his head as he agreed.
"So Kai are you ready for tonight?" Kehlani asked while I was devouring the kit Kat. I looked at her with wide eyes.
" what?" Her and Ty busted it out laughing. I'm confused.
"What? Why are you laughed? Wanna laugh too." I started pouting as Kehlani wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Kai I swear you have a weakness for chocolate. Mainly Kit Kats." Kehlani said.
"I heard she has a weakness to Caramel too." Josh said sitting down next to me. I looked at him for a moment, because he was right I could eat caramel like its nothing. Especially with ice c.....
"I heard you are crushing on Zeeray. HARD!." Ohhh that caramel but hey Hispanics are my weakness too. They are too....
"Ayyyyyeeeeeee chill out. I can read your mind" Josh whispered. I stared at him and looked at Kehlani and Ty.
"Was she talking about Zee again?" Ty said.
"No she was...OWWWWW!!" I kicked him in his leg.
"Keep your mouth shut or you'll regret it" I felt something come over me and then Josh suddenly backed up a little. Ty and Kehlani saw it too but what they saw I don't know.
" Kkkkk...Kai? You're eeee...eyes are purple." Josh said, I blinked and he somewhat relaxed. Kehlani's eyes widen.
"The last person whose eyes were purple was the...." Kehlani whispered.
"The leader of the...." Ty said in shock.
"Elements" they all said at once.
"Alright class let's get started." Mr. Rose said.
"Kai you need to talk to your parents ASAP." I heard Josh whisper.
*My phone vibrated as the bell rings*
I pulled it out of my pocket and opened the text. It was from my mom.
'Kai? Honey we need to talk when you get home. Its important my Love. XoXo Mom'
What the hell is going on? I thought to myself.
"Put your phone away Kai or I will take it." Mr. Rose said as I put it back in my pocket.
"I'm sorry Mr. Rose."
He smiled and continued on with his lesson. I hope I'm in trouble.
