5. Pet shelter

Khloé's POV:

"This week was so intense...", I was saying to myself, while I threw myself over the bed exhausted. College isn't that easy with all the presentations, works and essays. I heard the door opening and calculate it was Hanna. Then I heard her running and the last thing I saw was she throwing herself on my bed landing on me.

"Han... get off of me... I can't breath...".

"Are you saying I'm fat?" , she said joking.

"No... no... not at all", then we both started laughing.

"Sorry, but I just found out that Pets4U are having a huge fundraising, that's why I'm so excited. There will be food and entertainment and I heard they invited a lot of celebrities and important other people. We have to go, Louis called me like five minutes ago to inform us."

"Well... I don't know...", I said trying to look indecisive, "Of course we're going, Louis would kill us if we didn't and beside I love those puppies and I want to help.

Me and Hanna once were coming home together one afternoon and we saw a very mistreat dog. He was bleeding and shaking because it was so cold outside and he looked like he hadn't eat for some time. We took him but our appartment isn't very big for a dog so we decided to go to a pet shelter and see if they could take him. Most shelters were already full until we found Pets4U and they accepted to take the dog. It was there that we met Louis, he volunteers there and he told us that they were always looking for help since there's so many animals to take care of and asked us if we'd like to volunteer. Me and Hanna love animals so we didn't even hesitate and accepted the offer. We go there in our free time together. We spread the message to our family and friends and now the shelter has lots of volunteers and Louis and I became very good friends. We organize events and fundraisings once in a while to give people knowledge of the shelter and that they should adopt dogs and not buy them. Thanks to these events Pets4U got really popular and became even better, giving the animals better conditions to live and expanding so that we could rescue even more pets and find them families.

"It's tomorrow at 3pm", Hanna said.

"Great I'm free, now I just have to think what I'm going to wear."

"And you know what?", she asked looking at me with very thrilled, "I heard they're going to order a cake from Carlo's Bakery, delicious!!!"

"Always thinking about food Han!", I mocked her.
