"I'm not going anywhere without you." Thomas said, removing his arms around your frame then looked at you.
"No," You started to protest. "No, Thomas. Stop being so childish. You're leaving now."
"But—"
You cut him off by pushing him to the line.
"I'll wait for you, don't worry." You told him. You kissed him on the cheek as the flashes from the paparazzi's cameras surrounding you continued.
"You will?"
"I will, Thomas. " You reassured him. "Now, go."
Then he smiled. Not the childish smile he pulls off every time he asks you to do his school works, nor the one he does whenever he jokes around. It was the kind of smile he did that time you made breakfast for him, the one when you were telling him a story and while you were talking, all he did was smile at you. It was the I'm grateful smile. But you thought it would be cliché for you to think that it was all because you told him you'd wait for him. But his eyes weren't lying, he did look grateful. That little crinkle in his eyes was a sign that he was happy and you knew it. He was smiling like that at you just because you told him to wait and nothing matters now other than that.
"Thank you." He said then walked away.
A week after he left, it was quiet but the truth is that social media had been all about the two of you, but you never really cared.
Ever since he left, Thomas called you every two days or so. All he talked about how his day had went, how fun it was to be back on set and how tiring it is to wake up at ungodly hours to shoot. You would nod as he continue to talk about his day. It was nice having him this way.
You were finally dismissed from school and you decided to go home early because school was nothing but tiring. After you changed from your school clothes to a more comfortable outfit, your phone rang signalling you that someone was calling. It was Thomas.
You grabbed your phone and accepted the call.
"Thomas?"
"Hey!" He greeted you. "You're home now?"
"Yup," You answered then let out a big sigh.
"You okay, love?"
"Tired, maybe."
"Oh. Get some rest now."
You decided to lay down on your bed. "But you just called—"
"Rest. Now." He demanded.
"Okay, okay." You said while letting out a hearty laugh.
"Good bye, love. Rest well, okay? Lets talk tomorrow." He told you after you were done laughing.
"Of course. Bye, Tom." And then he ended the call.
The next day, you woke up but not to the alarm that you used to wake up to. Not even to the busy street outside your apartment, or to the other borders.
