(A/N...well I am just going to get straight to the story because I am tired as heck. But thank you to all my readers...nearly five hundred views altogether. Yippie!)

Carmine's POV

" What do you mean! Solaris is awake!" I yelled.

Hearing a gasp coming from the kitchen, I turned my head in that direction and saw my pixie in his scrumptious glory standing in the doorway. Hurrying over to him. I wrapped him up in my arms. Picking him up I carried him over to the divan and sat down with him in my lap.

Rubbing soothing circles on his back, I turned my attention back the elders. When they saw that they had my full attention once again. They started to explain again.

" You see, when you and Maxwell mated. Solaris awoke. She sensed the mating of one of the last dragons and is currently on her way." Explained Simone. He was one of the younger council members, with light brown skin and black hair and, oddly enough, green eyes.

Kristof, the eldest among them, cleared his pale throat and continued where Simone left off. " We do not know why she is heading here, but we all would like you to be cautious. From now on I advise you to have guards around you both wherever you go. And if you find out her intentions to let us know immediately."

As Kristof was speaking I felt Max tensing up with every word. Until it seemed like he couldn't take it anymore. When Max jumped up and got right in Kristof's face and in a very low voice.

" At first I did not know who you where talking about. But as I sat there and listened to your words it all became clear. Solaris is the mother of dragons, our Goddess, and if she wants to see me. She has every right to. Nothing and I mean nothing you say will change that.

Now if you wouldn't mind. I would like to get something to eat again. So please leave and let me and my mate be."

I was trying to hold in my laughter at the way the elders were shaking when my pixie growled at them. They were looking at each other and trying to decide what to do when Max growled lowly once more. They immediately became scared of what he might do, and so they jumped up mumbled a quick goodbye and vanished into thin air.

I was shaking my head and covering my mouth so as not to piss my mate off any further. When I heard a beautiful giggle coming from his direction. Looking over I see him clutching his stomach in a fit of giggles.

Seeing him laughing caused me to let loose my own. And so here we both are laughing in our home without a care in the world.

(A/N.....short I know. But I had a bit of writers block for awhile. And suddenly I listened to a song while I was driving and this idea popped into my head. So I hope you all enjoyed it!
