It was a cold December night. The Tomlinsons where at home watching the Santa Clause 3, one of Bea's favourite movies.

"Daddy I need to write my letter to Santa." She says suddenly getting off the couch. Louis smiled at her as she ran to find paper and pens. That's my girl. He thinks to himself as he stands from the couch.

Bea is only 7 years old so of course she believes in Santa but Louis doesn't mind. Especially since she will probably notice that Santa isn't real at 10, while he was told at age 13 and was completely embarrassed at school.

Bea found her supplies and ran back into the living room sitting in front of the coffee table. She grabbed a pretty blue pen and started to write.

Louis stood back to see what she wrote because, they wouldn't be able to send this out till this weekend and he needs to start buying things now.

When she was done she grabbed an envelope and tucked the note away.

She turned around and handed it to her dad after she wrote Santa!!!! In black ink. Her dad grabbed the letter and smiled down at her.

"I love you Bea." She didn't question why he randomly said I love you.

"Love you too daddy! Now can we send it in?" He shook his head.

"We have to wait till this weekend. But I will set it here next to my keys so I don't forget." She smile and made grabby hands up to him. He picked her up and set her on his hip, her small legs wrapped around him and one arm around his neck.

"Yeah! I can't wait! Christmas is in-" she stopped dead in her tracks as the doorbell rang.

Louis walked to the door and opened it with his free hand. There stood a blond haired boy with bright blue eyes and a cookie tin.

"Um hi my mom thought it would be nice to hand cookies out." He handed Louis the tin. Louis set Bea down and gave Bea the tin to bring to the kitchen.

"You live with your mom?" Louis wasn't making fun of him, hell if he could he still live with his mom. He was just generally curious about the boy.
The blond boy down the road.
Wait how does his own daughter know him before he does?

"No she is just visiting. I live by myself actually."
"What's your name?" Louis asked setting out his hand to the blond lad.

"Niall, and yours?"
"Louis."
"Well it was nice meeting you but I need to get back." Louis said bye and watched the rosy cheek boy walk down his steps and out of sight.

Louis shut the door and headed to the kitchen where Bea was, trying a cookie or two.

"How are they?" She stopped.
"Hah caught red handed."
"Dad-"
"It's the holidays you can eat as many cookies you like just be reasonable. I'm trusting you." She smiled wide and hugged him saying thank you.

"They are good. Especially these ones!" She handed him a chocolate cookie. He tasted it and tasted like a chocolate explosion, with a rough exterior but gooey chocolate interior that was to die for.

"Whoa that is good." Louis said mouth still full of cookie.

"Eww daddy don't talk with your mouth full." She starts to giggle.

Later that night after he was done putting her to bed, he walked back into the kitchen to get some water. He couldn't stop thinking about how his seven year old knew a blond boy who lived down the street before he did. Especially a cute one. But he doesn't want to date again.

Bea's mom left them when she was 6 months old, Louis thought Briana was the love of his life but she thought other wise. She fled the house taking all her stuff and a lot of Louis money. When she left Louis promised Bea that he will be there until she doesn't need him anymore, and that he will do anything to make her happy.

He poured a glass of water and some dripped onto the counter. He set the glass down and grabbed some towels and cleaned it up. That's when he noticed a sticky note on the lid of the tin.

He picked it up and it read.

Hi I think you are the house with a kid. I'm not sure because she plays in the street and sidewalk more then a yard. But if you even need it I'm a babysitter. I could use the extra money, living alone isn't as fun as I thought haha. But please don't hesitate to knock.
Sincerely Niall
Oh and Happy Holidays.

Louis put the note in his wallet so he could remember. Because he could use a babysitter that doesn't cost a thousand dollars an hour. Plus Niall seems like a nice lad, also explains why Bea knows he moved here is because she plays outside with her friends, while he sits inside doing work mostly.

He grabbed his glass and went up to bed. He put it on the nightstand and changed into a random white T and kept his boxers on.

Louis turned off the lamp and went to sleep thinking about the blond down the street.
