Chapter two. Surprise surprise!

After I had called my friend, I took a shower. I had to preoccupy myself untill my great entrance at her party, a bit selfish but I like drama, not to much though. I walked to the nearest animal centre. My dog died couple months ago. I've got him as a present from my oldest friends. There were quite some cute dogs and other pets but none of them could compare with my German shepherd Frankie.

I wandered through the city and decided to go to our old family house. It was huge and had a large garden. I didn't think anyone would be there. I unlocked the door and heard a familiar voice.
"Hello, how can I help you?"
"Rosa is that you?"
"Alexandra? O my darling, look at you. Stan? Stan! Come and see who is here".
I hugged her. "O Rosa it's so good to see you? But what are you doing here? I thought you guys had left to be with my father?" I questioned.
O no honey your father is making money while he sleeps, I am sure he can make his own foods. She smiled.
"Lexi is that you?" A tall man ce in side and pulled me in a huge. Hai Stan, you can let me go now, Stan? Stan? You're suffocating me! Rosa help! I yelled. Rosa onlu smiled. STAN YOU CAN LET HER GO NOW she yelled in his ear. Great now both of us can't hear anymore. We laughed. I spent the rest of the afternoon chatting with them untill in was time to go.

It was end spring and I was wearing a jumpsuit and 5 inch heels. I had my hear in a messy ponytail. I drove myself and took a breath. The door was open and a couple of kids run out. I went in. There were a lot of people. Some of them I recognised others not. I walked quickly passed the one I recognised. First I wanted to surprise my friend before someone could spoiled it.

I saw her standing with her father and brother. I went to a waitress. Could you give Celeste, the birthday girl a glass of champagne and say it from sugar honey. She smiled of course. I took a glass myself. I watched as the waitress walked over and gave the glass and pointed towards me. As one the groups looked at me and I raised my glass. My friends her eyes went wide and came with full speed towards me. She didn't slow down so she crushed right in to my. I almost lost my balance. Happy birthday, tiger I said while hugging her. Oh sugar honey, you came! I can't believe you are actually here! I placed my arms around her middle and she did the same. We walked towards her father, Pieter and brother and someone I recognised as her lovely stepmother, Kim. Heey Lexi, did you miss us that much
Kim said. I smiled yes I did. let me guess, you couldn't find a guy as good as me so you decided to come back for me. Her brother, David said with a grin plastered on his face. Don't get cocky now, as a gave him a friendly push. I actually came back for your father and took him in an embrace. He laughed. You couldn't stay away. He was like a second father to me. He was also my former biology teacher. Long story.
Oh I almost forgot my present for you. I grapped a decorated bag and handed over. I think it's time for a sleepover and I winked. Now her curiosity was growing. She raised her eyebrows. Let me guess, you spend more time decorating my present then actually buying it, didn't you. She laughed. Yes I did! Now everyone laughed.

While she was getting her present out of the paper my phone went of. I'll be right back, I guess it's the airport. They lost my luggage. I explaned. They nodded I walked to the kitchen. It was indeed the airport. As I answered thw phone I saw a familiar men walking towards the group I was just standing with. Please turn around I pleaded.
"Sorry ma'm?"
Sorry you were saying?
"We have found your luggage, but we don't have a adress to sent it to. Could you give your adress so we are able to sent you your luggage".
After I gave him my adress I stood a little longer in the kitchen hoping the men would turn around. He did and a gasped, no could it be? I walked outside towards the group and Celeste waved, making the group look up. Oh Lex, I want you to meet this gentlemen.

Frank Meiyer I said and smiled. I saw a twinkle in his eyes and hugged my back. little one. That was his nickname for me when I was younger. Normally it would have annoyed me that he called me that, but not today. The rest looked confused at us.

Don't tell me your still with that horrible woman, Jade. He laughed, something I had missed terribly. No I'm not.

Does this mean you two know each other David asked.

Frank's hand rested at my waist and I did the same. His touch felt so familiar yet it sent sparkeld through my whole body. We exchanged a few looks and smiles.

Yes we do, Frank said. I actually changed her diapers and those of her brothers. He laughed.
