"Im going to Armies after school? His dad is hosting a barbeque." I said loud enough as I walked into the living room and set my bags on the floor before pulling up my skin coloured arm cover over my right arm.

Appoloin pulled the paper he was reading and placed it onto his lap, "So its safe to say you'll be staying the night?" His eyes travelled to the bags on the floor, beside my feet which were soon going to hang off the arm of the chair, when I decided to sit my lazy ass down.

"Um, not tonight." I shook my head, "I have to drive my plus one home."

Allowing my eyes to connect with Appoloins gaze, I couldnt help but have a nervous sensation travel through me, "Is this a date?"

Shyly smiling, I shrugged, "It might be, if we can ignore all the meat heads that will be there."

Appoloing nodded, he knows I play football and some times he doesnt agree with it because of the popularity it brings me, and other times he does because... I get to act more human. "Hope this is a serious thing, and not just you trying to be premiscuous."

Shaking my head, I bit my lip. God no, I was serious. As serious as I could be. "No." I chuckled, "Im serious, I just really... Want to know him. I saw him... And it was just," I paused, "Hes flawless."

"Im going to guess this boy is human?" I nodded, waiting for him to object about me wanting to bond with, "Have you two bonded yet?"

Furrowing my brows, I shook my head rapidly, I didnt even know how as bad as that sounds, "No. And I dont plan on doing it until he knows about me... Us." I corrected myself.

Appoloin nodded, "Good choice. But Im not going to lie. Its hard, for both him and you." I nodded, "You wont be able to open yourself up to him right away. Youll have to be careful so you dont hurt him." Appoloin paused, "You were raised half your life as a human. So... You understand." He chuckled, "Sometimes I forget because you act so grown up around me. But, you are free to go. Please dont be late. I dont need anymore messages crowding my phone." He gave me a knowing smirk, before hiding his face once more behind the news paper.

"Well, Ill see you later." I stood, collecting my bags from the floor, walking calmly to the front, where I was greeted by one of the maids. She wore a stereo-typical outfit, and I couldnt help but feel bad.

"Good morning Blake." She gave me a smile and dropped a pair of keys in my hand, then a bottle of Appoloins diluted blood in my bag. "I got the keys for the black Honda Pilot." She closed my hand with hers, "Good luck today." She let me go, walking down the hall.

She wasnt that old, maybe in her thirties, she is one of us but some how, half human. So she doesnt require blood, well as much blood intake as Appoloin, or I. She could eat raw steaks and function for months.

While opening the door a gust of wind blew past me. Wasting no time, I ran and unlocked the door to the truck and slid in, placing my swimming gear in the back. Then my bag on the passanger seat, unzipping it and pulling out the bottle, that was filled with the red liquid.

"Great!" I groaned as I alked out of second block period with Alex at my side, "Now she is going to call my dad!" I punched Alex in the arm hard enough to hurt.

Waving his hand dismissively, he tsked, "Dude, dont worry. She is an old grouch, she'll forget about it before the end of the day."

"Fuck, you dont know how to shut your dumb mouth." I rolled my eyes, running a hand through my hair as we stopped at my locker so I could drop off my books, and grabbing the bottle on the top shelf, chugging half of it down.
