Chapter One
***Sunday, September 13***9:30pm***
Sophie

"Hey, I have been making videos for now four years, and I have been gaining a lot of followers in those amazing years. I for one have been grateful. Some of you heard about what my parents did to me when I was younger. I survived that and gained a new and loving family. They are amazing, but I lost something then, too. I had a twin brother. The last time I ever seen him was when I was five. I will turn eighteen in two months and then I will be able to track him down and meet him. I don't even know why I am making this video, but I just have too. I...I just want to see him again. Shan Hanch, I don't know if that still your last name, I think about you everyday. I can't wait until I see you again, now I will sing "When I See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa. This cover is for you my bro." I said to the camera, as I started to breakdown halfway through my beginning speech, I didn't fully until after the song.

After I ended the video I quickly transferred it to my laptop and brought it out to the living room where my dad was sitting watching some football. He looked at me and smiled, "How is your video?"

"Good, I guess. I don't have to cut anything, do you want to watch the video?" I asked sitting next to him.

He never answered, so I just played the video. Dad is a police officer in New York, so he is a tough nut, but my video brought him to tears. I know that I shouldn't be happy about that, but the video is supposed to be sad, so I guess I did my job.

"That was beautiful, so when is it going up?" Dad asked hugging me.

"Tomorrow at eight, I just have to put some finishing touches on it before it goes up. Dad, do you think he had a good childhood after everything our so-called parents did to us?"

"I bet he is having an amazing life after that like you are, especially after what your parents did to you. And to answer your next question, yes I think that he misses you, too."

"I just wished that my parents didn't send him away when we were five. I don't even know if he is alive, but he has to be alright."

"Sophie, you can't dwell on what may or may not be true. You go into a dark place when you think about this."

"I know, Dad," I said putting my earbuds into my ears and started to edit the video.

***TIME SKIP***11:00pm***

After I finished the video, Dad was already in his room because his tour starts really early tomorrow.

I turned off my laptop and went into the kitchen and poured myself a bowl of cereal before going back into my room.

As I ate the cereal I drew another picture of Shan. I know that's creepy, but that is how I can keep on remembering him. He is someone I never ever want to forget.

***TIME SKIP***Monday, September 14***7:30am***

When I walked into school everyone was staring at me, but it's nothing out of the normal because everyday they do this. I don't know if it's good or bad, but whatever.

My best friend Rebecca was outside my locker eyeing some cute guys, "Hey Soph, so what is today's video? And don't you give me the 'you will see' crap that you always give me."

"You will see. You ask me that everyday so you should get used to that answer," I said rolling my eyes and unlocking my locker. I pushed my bookbag inside and grabbed my first two class things and slammed my locker shut.

"At least what type of video is it?" Rebecca asked trying to get me to spill the beans for her blog.

"Can I quote you?"

"Yes," I said irritable.

"Thank you very much. Now, did you finish your A.P. Biology?" She asked knowing I had it done and that it is the first hour class.

"Yes and no, you can not use it for "guideline" on your worksheet."

"But...I...I...' a speechless Rebecca rambled.

"You need to do your own homework, and spend less time on your blog."

"I will if you let me interview you."

"Fine, but you have to go two whole weeks without a missing or incomplete assignment, starting tomorrow."

"Ma'am, yes, Ma'am," Rebecca said as she saluted me.

I laughed as this cute guy I have been dating for three years came up to me and kissed my lips. "Hey Cutie, I missed you."

"You know that it was only the regular two day weekend. I managed probably a 6% missing you since I was quite busy."

"Always a smart-ass, but that is why I love you, Soph. You tell it like it is and no sweet talker can change your mind," Martin said kissing my cheek right when the bell rang.

"Bye, see you at lunch. I gotta get to class."

"Bye, Sweety."
