A few days had gone by and I spent all of my time at the house. I didn't know what to do down here in Louisiana. After doing my daily routine I went down stairs to see my dad in his study.

"Hey dad." I said.

"Whats up?" he replied

"Well I was just wondering if you knew of anything that I can do around here. I'm really fed up with being here at the house and I just want to get out."

"here take the truck and go explore town." my dad said.

"Really?! Thanks!" I went into the kitchen and grabbed the keys from the drawer and headed out to the truck. Starting the engine I pulled out of the driveway and started my fifteen minute drive into town. The radio was playing fighter by Christina Aguilera and I was singing along happily. She is my favorite artist. Julia and my mom had gone to the market earlier today so it was just me all by myself. That's how I liked it cause my family drives me insane sometimes.

I reached town and saw a decent sized mall. "Wow" I thought to myself, they actually have a mall down here?! I parked the truck near the Macy's and headed inside. This mall wasn't as good as the ones back in Ohio but it would do. They had most of my favorite stores and they seemed to be a pretty decent size. I walked into the Express and started looking through the sale racks. As I was looking I heard someone yelling at the other side of the store in the men's section.

"John Luke this would look so good on you!"

"Emily no, I'm not wearing pink."

Being extremely curious I walked over to the scarves which were right by the men's section. That's when I saw the most attractive guy ever.

"You never let me pick things out for you!" Emily said.

"I'm a Robertson, Robertson men don't wear pink!" John Luke exclaimed. "Im so fed up with this."

"Well then I guess I'm leaving bye, I'll text you later." she replied. I watched her walk out of the store and looked at a very frustrated John Luke. I didnt want to look like an idiot just staring at him so I turned my attention back to the scarves. After a minute I looked back up and saw that he was gone. Letting out a sigh I turned to walk in the other direction but ran into something instead.

" Omg! I'm so sorry I didn't see you." I said. I looked up at who I ran into and saw John Luke.

"No it's my fault I should've paid more attention." he said. "Say, I haven't seen you around before and you look around my age. How old are you? If you don't mind me asking?"

"My name is Haley, and I'm 17, and I just moved here from Ohio. How old are you?"

"Haha well I'm John Luke, and I am also 17."

"Oh cool!" I said. "I'm glad the first person I met is the same age as me."

"Well I'm honored that I'm the first person you met." He then let out a small laugh. "So I guess you heard that little argument I was having a minute ago."

"Yeah I did, I didn't mean to eavesdrop but it was kinda hard not to listen." I said.

"It's fine, I'm kinda thinking about ending things with Emily anyways."

"Oh haha that makes sense, I was thinking she was a girlfriend. I'm sorry that it isn't working out. Breakups can be rough."

"I'll get over it. Hey since your new around here you probably don't know where to go around town, you want me to give you a tour?" he asked.

"Ummm... Yeah sure... Okay." I smiled. The whole time we were talking I was looking into his beautiful brown eyes and smiling like an idiot. We walked out of the store and he led me to his truck.

"Nice ride." I giggled. "But my truck is bigger."

"Oh really?" he laughed. He then opened the passenger door for me and then got in the drivers seat. "Let's start the tour at Duck Commander, My dad is the CEO there."

That's when it all hit me.
