Chapter 5

~Haley's POV~

I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face. Yesterday had been amazing. John Luke is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I checked my phone and saw it was 8:30. I also had a message from John Luke. A huge smile on my face I quickly opened up the text.

From: John Luke

Hey:) I hope you had a good time yesterday. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out again today with my sister and a couple of my cousins. Text me your address and I'll come pick you up. Hope you can come:)

I quickly sent a reply with my address saying that I would love to hang out today. I then took a shower and did my daily routine. About a half an hour later I hear a beep from the drive way. I rush to the kitchen telling my parents where I was going and went out to John Luke's truck.

"Hey!" I said smiling.

"Hi Haley." he replied. He opened the passenger seat door for me and then got in on his side. On the way to his house we were making small talk. I kept getting lost in his brown eyes. He was so attractive.

"So who's all going to be at your house?" I asked.

"Oh umm Sadie, and my cousins Reed and Cole. They are really cool your going to like them, and they will love you."

"Okay cool." We finally reached his house and it was a lot bigger in person. "Wow. Your house is huge!" I said.

"Hahaha yeah a lot of people react like that when they first see it." he said. "Well let's go inside. Sadie is dying to meet you." he led me into the house and upstairs to what looked like a teenage lounge. As soon as I walked through the door I saw two handsome guys and a pretty girl sitting on a couch. "Hey guys, I want you to meet my friend Haley."

They all looked up and smiled at me. Well actually Reed had his mouth hung open. I let out a small giggle and said hi to everyone. Sadie jumped off the couch and gave me a hug.

"John Luke she is so much prettier then you described her to be." she said.

"Oh umm thanks!" I replied.

"I'm Reed and this is my little brother Cole. Like John Luke already said." he said sheepishly.

"It's nice to meet you." I smiled at both of them. Reed and I just smiled at each other until John Luke walked in between us and grabbed my arm.

"Haley let me show you around the rest of the house." He said.

"Looks like John Luke is developing a little crush." Sadie teased.

"Sadie be quiet I just want Haley to know her way around the place." and with that John Luke led me out of the room.

"Sorry about Sadie. She can say some of the weirdest things." John Luke said.

"Oh no its fine, I think she is really nice. Reed and Cole seem nice too." I replied.

"Yeah yeah they are great. You wanna go sit outside?" He asked.

"John Luke! Haley! Come back in here." Sadie called.

"Looks like we better head back." I said. John Luke let out a sigh and we walked back to the lounge room. We all spent the next few hours playing video games and talking. We all were having a great time. I couldn't help but give most of my attention to John Luke. He was just so amazing. I would catch him staring at me sometimes. Then I'd look at Sadie and she would have this smirk on her face looking back and forth between John Luke and I.

"So Haley where are you from?" Reed asked.

"Ohio, I used to live in Akron but then I moved out to the country to be closer with my dads side of the family. Then my dad got a new job here so we all had to move."

"So your a real yuppie girl." Said Cole.

"Well if that's what you call city girls gone country then yes I would be a yuppie girl." I laughed, along with everyone else.

"Hey we should go out back a build a fire." said Reed.

"Great idea!" Said Sadie. "Why don't all you boys head out and start it and Haley and I will get some stuff for s'mores!"

"Come on guys lets go." Said Reed. The boys then proceeded outside into the back yard and Sadie led me into the kitchen. I glanced out the window near the dinette and my eyes met John Luke's. He smiled and waved and I returned the gesture. Gosh I'm falling head over heels for him. This is going to be an interesting night.
