I woke up the next morning exhausted. I didn't want to go to school. Even though it was the last day before summer break. At my school we don't do anything special on the last day. We just sit around doing educational board games. Then we meet our teachers for next year then we have hot dogs then we leave. So I got up and walked into the living room. I say on the couch and did nothing. "Eat some breakfast." My mother told me. "Uuugggghhhhh" I got up and got a bowl, cereal, and milk. I poured the cereal then I opened the milk. I was about to pour it when, "WWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" my annoying little brother Elliott the idiot came sliding across the floor in his slippery socks and slammed right into me! The milk spilled ALL OVER me! And on the floor and I slipped in the milk on the floor and fell over and just spilled more milk on myself! I was drenched in milk dripping all over my hair wet and stringy and soaked and my new PJs soggy and gross. "ELI!!!!" he looked at me and his eyes widened, his jaw dropped, and his face turned white with fear. "Coming mom!" He yelled he turned around and ran, not realizing that MOM was right behind him. She grabbed ahold of him, spun him around, and pushed him towards me. "Elliott Tyler Morris! How many TIMES do I have to TELL YOU! Watch where you are going or else I will-" "Lynn..."
"Sorry mom."
"Elliott"
"Ya...?"
"What do you say to your sister"
"I-I..."
"Well...?"
"I can do what ever I want!" He stuck his tongue out and ran off. "*sigh* Go change your clothes and wash your hair, Lynn" my mom told me. She handed me a towel. I dried off as much as I could so I didn't drip all over the house then in went upstairs to take a shower. After my shower I went back downstairs to get ready to leave for school. On my way downstairs I ran into Elliott. And I mean literally ran into him. I was almost late so I was in a rush and Eli was just being a brat running around up and down the stairs. He ran right into me and I got shoved into the wall. That knocked over a photo on the wall. It fell and the glass of the frame shattered onto the floor AND on my foot. "Ahh! Eli GOSH! WATCH where you're GOING!" I pushed him into the railing then went around him to grab the railing. I hopped down the stairs on my good foot got the dirt aid kit. I carefully got the glass out of my foot then cleaned it up and wrapped it up in gauze. There were big cuts everywhere and our floor was pretty much downed in blood from my foot. It hurt like heck but I held it in. I put on a shoe on my good foot then carefully (but painfully) forced my other foot into a shoe. My mom just watched me the whole time. She offered some help every once in a while but didn't really say much else. "Elliott's clean up that glass NOW!" my mother said to him. He got mad but cleaned it up anyway. "Do I have to clean up her smelly foot blood too?!..." He asked annoyingly. "ohh! You-" my mom cut me off "yes you do.", "Dang!" He said. I got my stuff ready and walked out the door. I was already late and I didn't need any more distractions or interruptions. Just a moment after I limped out the door Elliott the idiot came running out to his bus. And I just knew he would run right into me. I stepped aside as fast as I could and just barely dodged him but stepped too hard on my bad foot. I dropped to the ground and slipped in a mud puddle. I slid through the grass. I was soaked with mud and water and muddy water. "Are you okay!" Elliott somehow got the words out through his constant laughing. "I'm fine!" I said angrily. He helped me up. I glared at him. "Sorry... Umm hold on let me make it up to you." He walked around the house. He came around the corner again with his hands behind his back. He quickly pulled out a hose and sprayed me with it. It knocked me over and this time it was right into our mini pond in the front yard. I screamed a word that my mother would murder me for then splashed into the pond. My arm broke my fall. But that's not the only thing it broke. My mom rushed out. She saw the while thing through the window. She helped me out of the pond. "ELLIOTT TYLER MORRIS!!!!!!! YOU GET ON THAT BUS RIGHT NOW!!!! WE WILL TALK WHEN YOU GET BACK FROM SCHOOL!" Elliott turned white again and ran onto the bus full of fifth graders all laughing at ME. As soon as the bus doors closed, Elliott joined the other kids laughing. My mom brought me into the house. She helped me clean up. I told her about my arm and she drove me to the hospital. And when we got there they did x-rays and of course, it was broken. They had to give me a cast and stuff and clean it out and whatever it is they do. So I didn't even get to go to school at all (thank goodness) but still a lousy way to start my summer. On our way back home we passed a large truck like a UPS truck but it didn't have any logos on it or anything. Just a plain black truck. The back shook a lot too. It was weird. And it turns out it was going to a house just a few doors down from us. And being me I let my curiosity get the best of me.
