*One month later*

(McKinley POV)

Me and the guys of Black Veil Brides have become really good friends over the coarse of them staying at my house while they worked on their sixth studio project. I have been going to the studio with them, because Andy basically drug me out of bed everyday despite my wishes. We would cause a lot of unnecessary mischief though. Like one time we traded Bob's coke for root beer, his face was priceless. I looked up when Andy sat down beside me.

    "Hey you."

 He said with a smile.

    "Hey."

 I said, smiling.

    "How are your ribs feeling?"

He asked.

"They actually don't hurt today. I have the appointment today, so I probably will be a little bit late to the studio because Brantley is picking me up for that. I think the appointment is at one or maybe two."

 I said.

"Hopefully they will clear you so you can do the song we are supposed to be doing together."

 He said.

"I hope so to. I'm really ready to get behind a microphone again. This month has killed me."

 I said.

  He chuckled.

"Yeah, it's hard after you are so used to doing it to be told you can't for a certain period of time because it sucks. I know when my friend, Danny, ripped one of his vocal chords and they had him on vocal rest from singing he almost went crazy because he couldn't go to the studio or go on tour."

 He said.

"I'm ready to go on tour, but I don't know who is going to want to try to pick me up this year considering my accident."

 I said.

"Yeah, I don't know. You may have to sit touring out for right now and let your ribs completely heal because you don't want to rebreak them."

 He said.

"I may can get the band together and pick up a few gigs here and there."

 I said.

  Andy shrugged.

"It's really up to you. I mean, that and it depends on if the doctors clear you or not too. If they look okay though on the xray then they will probably give you the go ahead to get back in the studio and so forth."
He said.
"Yeah. I mean, I'm sure the band has been enjoying the time off, but I'm ready to get back on the road and see the fans."
I said.
"Yeah, that's how I was when I broke mine, but you have to listen to what the doctors tell you or you can seriously hurt yourself."
He said.
  I sighed.
    "I know."
I said.
Then Jinxx walked into the kitchen.
"We are just waiting on Ashley to finish up. He had to shower and then straighten his hair and stuff. He was the last into the shower."
Jinxx said, leaning against the counter.
    "Alright."
Andy said, taking a sip out of his cup of coffee he had previously made.
With that we sat in the quiet, enjoying the sound of the birds chirping outside my kitchen window. Soon Ashley, walked downstairs with his snapback and phone in his hand.
"Alright, let's get this show on the road."
He said, chuckling at his own little joke.
I shook my head. They gathered all of their stuff and was soon out the door. They had been using my trick because I had grown to trust them and what not. I wandered back to the living room and sat down on the couch and grabbed the remote for the tv. Max came and sat beside me, cuddling into my side. I had gotten him broke of chewing on things, so I decided to keep him. I turned on a new episode of L.A. Ink and watched it until it went off and then changed it to some random movie channel which happened to be playing one of the Fast and Furious movies which happens to be one of my favorite movie series. I smiled and set the remote on the coffee table and settled in to watch it since I have two hours before Brantley will be coming to pick me up for my doctors appointment.
-------------------------------------------------------------
*two hours later*
I jumped when there was a knock on my door. I got up and unlocked it. Brantley stood there with his hands in his pockets.
    "Ready?"
He asked.
"I just have to slip on some shoes and I'll be good to go. I've been watching tv so I didn't worry with shoes."
I said.
He chuckled. I slid on my boots and pulled my jeans legs down over them and stood back upright. I grabbed my messenger bag from the kitchen table as well.
    "Lets go."
I said.
We walked out to his truck and I got in the passenger side. He moved a bag of baby stuff from the front floorboard.
"Sorry, Amber had me go out and get some baby neutral colored baby stuff today for the baby's nursery. We are working on getting that set up and stuff."
He said.
"Yeah, it'll be here before you know it."
I said.
  He sighed.
"I know. I'm kind of nervous."
He said.
"You'll be okay. Just stay positive that's the key to the entire thing. Postivity."
I said.
He smiled as he turned onto the highway.
    "I guess you're right."
He said.
    "What are y'all hoping for?"
I asked.
"I'm hoping for a little boy first and then in maybe two or three years a little girl that way he can look after his little sister when they get older, but I don't care either way as long as it's healthy."
Brantley said.
  I smiled.
    "That's sweet."
I said.
"Mama is hoping for a girl so she can spoil her, but I don't know if I really want a girl first."
Brantley said.
  I chuckled.
"Yeah, you have to deal with the first crushes, first boyfriends, first breakups, and all of that."
I said.
"But I went through all of that with you."
He teased.
  I flipped him off.
    "Butthole."
I said.
  He laughed.
    "I love you too."
He said as we turned into the hospital.
I sighed. I really hope they release me to go back to singing today. Brantley parked and I unbuckled and slid out of the truck, grabbing my messenger bag. We walked inside. I walked up to the front desk.
"I'm McKinley Tylers and I have an appointment at one."
I said.
She nodded and clicked a few things on the computer sitting in front of her.
"Alright, you're signed in. You can go have a sit in the waiting room and we will get to you shortly."
She said.
I went and sat beside Brantley. We sat there a few minutes before my name was called. Brantley looked at me.
"Do you want me to come with you?"
He asked.
    "If you want."
I said.
He stood up and trailed behind me. The nurse led us to a room. She took my weight, blood pressure, temperature, etc.
"Alright, the doctor should be in here in a little while."
She said.
I sat there with my legs hanging off the bed I was sitting in slightly and kicking my legs back and forth. I looked up when the doctor came in.
"Alright the first thing we are going to do is do a xray so we can see how the bones healed."
He said washing his hands and sliding on a pair of gloves.
He directed me to the xraying room and I was told to take all metal off. So I slid out of my boots, took off my earrings, and my belt. Brantley helped me onto the bed and what not. They laid the protective blanket over me and had Brantley step out of the room. Once they were finished they let me put back on my earrings, belt, and boots before we went back to my original room. The doctor walked back in.
"Alrighty, the results should be in, in about five minutes."
He said, rewashing his hands and putting on a new pair of gloves.
What was the point of putting on the pair of gloves earlier? He walked out of the room. I sighed and laid back on the bed thing in boredom. Brantley chuckled.
    "Are you bored?"
He asked.
    "Yes, very."
I said.
My phone buzzed from in my pocket. I pulled it out. It was a text from Andy. I opened it.
    'How did it go?'
'They did an xray and they are waiting for the results and then they are going to tell me if they are going to release me to sing or whatever or not.'
I replied.
'Oh, well when they tell you let me know. Please.'
'I will. I got to go they just came back with they xrays.'
I put my phone back into my pocket. The doctor the did the xray put the xray on the screen thing that lights the image up. He clicked it on.
"Okay so the good news is that the concession is completely healed and the fractured ribs are completely healed and your broken ribs are healed quite a bit. We think it will be okay for you to return to singing if you take it easy. Don't try to over work yourself. I know you are probably eager to get back on the road and in the studio again. Just take it easy. If you have an pain, come back immediately."
He said.
"Okay, but I'm cleared on singing?"
"Yes, you are clear to go back to singing as long as you take it easy."
He said.
  I smiled.
    "Alright. Thank you."
I said as he filled out my chart.
"You are very welcome. Your next appointment will be say July fifth at one?"
He asked.
    "That will be fine."
I said.
"Alright then. You are free to go."
He said.
Me and Brantley made our way to his truck. I thought of something.
"Hey, do you want to prank the guys in the studio?"
I asked.
"What do you have in mind?"
He asked.
"I was thinking attack them with silly string."
I said.
He chuckled and shook his head.
    "I'm game I guess."
He said, turning into a party store.
I climbed out, grabbing my messenger bag. I went inside and grabbed about ten cans of silly string and went to the cash register. They rung up the cans and I paid and grabbed the bags. I walked back out and Brantley was leaned against his truck smoking. He chuckled when he saw the amount silly string cans I had bought.
    "Get enough?"
He asked.
I flipped him off and stuck my tongue out at him. He drove to the studio. I walked in, Ashley turned and I motioned for him to be quiet. He turned and I took out two cans of silly string and threw two to Brantley and we attacked. In the end, Andy and Ashley had ended up taking the last two cans and spraying me and Brantley. I fell back onto the beanbag chairs laughing. Andy plopped down beside me laughing as well.
"So what did the doctor say?"
He asked.
"The concussion is healed, the fractured ribs are healed, and the broken ones have healed a lot. They told me that I can go back to singing, but I have to take it easy. So none of my crazy backflips and stuff that I used to do onstage. I have to go back in a month and hopefully they will be healed completely, but I don't know."
I said, as I picked dried silly string from my hair.
"Well, that's good. That means that we can start working on our song really soon then."
He said.
  I smiled.
"Yeah, I'm really excited. I've always wanted to do a more of a ballad type song, but I always wanted it to be a duet and this gives me a chance to do it."
I said.
    "Yeah."
He said.
Jinxx came out of the recording Booth and start his violin back in it's case. He chuckled when he saw the used silly string cans and the silly string covering everyone but him.
"The oh so classic silly string war."
He said.
    "Yeah."
I said, laughing.
Brantley looked up from his phone.
"Hey, McKinley can you ride back with the guys? Amber needs my help with something in the nursery."
He said.
  I nodded.
"Yeah, that's fine. Go ahead. I'm sure they aren't going to do much more today. They have been here since eight this morning."
I said.
I sat and played on my iPod as they tracked two more songs. When I checked the time, it was eight. I yawned, my nose wrinkling. All of the guys chuckled.
"Well, Bob we better get this one home before we have to carry her out of here."
Andy said.
I flipped him off and stuck my tongue out at him. He laughed and gathered his stuff up. We walked out to my truck and they voted that Andy would be driving, I was middle, Ashley would be shotgun and then rest would be in the back seat. I sighed and climbed in. Andy cranked the truck and immediately turned the music down.
"Sorry. We were jamming out on the way over this morning."
He said.
  I giggled.
"Thats fine. I don't mind you guys using my CDs as long as nothing happens to any of them."
I said.
We got home and I walked into the kitchen and went to the freezer. I came back with a bag of chicken. I got out flour, milk, eggs, and different spices. I want homemade fried chicken.
    "Whatcha doing?"
I jumped and almost dropped the pan I was getting out of the cabinet. I turned and Andy was leaned against the counter.
"I figured that I would actually cook something tonight instead of making you guys eat take out. I thought you would be tired of it. Besides you gotta have a home cooked meal every once and a while."
I said, continuing my actions.
I got out a box of instant mashed potatoes and a box of mac and cheese. I battered up the chicken and got all of it fried and then made up the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. I then heated up some fresh canned green beans. I made everyone including myself a plate and carried it to the dining room. I got everyone a glass of tea.
"Andy, CC, Ashley, Jinxx, Jake, dinners ready!"
I called out.
They can running in. They sat down and started eating.
    "This is amazing!"
CC exclaimed.
  I giggled.
    "Thanks CC."
I said.
We finished up eating and Ashley and Jinxx washed and dried the dishes. I yawned.
"Well, I think I'm going to leave you boys to it. I'm going to head upstairs to get some sleep."
I said.
I went upstairs and changed into my pajama shorts and a tank top and climbed into bed, clicking off my bedside lamp. I was soon asleep.
