Scott gaped staring at the yard, almost sure the argument he'd heard and witnessed was a mirage, an illusion.

"You heard that too, huh?" Lydia asked walking quietly to the kitchen window, where Scott sat, staring out at the Stilinski backyard.

Scott nodded still speechless.

"I never in a gazillion years would have thought the whole Argent-Hale feud was quite literally, a Romantic tragedy", she whispered, shivering at the chill in the night air.

The clock struck midnight, and the kitchen glowed eerily with the light from the hallway.

"Oh man", Scott whispered, still staring at the lone figure of Chris Argent alone and so heartbroken. Half in shadow and half in light.

Lydia hummed, "What did he say at the end there?" she asked.

"Uh...he confessed to still loving Peter", Scott answered almost warily.

Lydia blinked up at him, "Sorry what?" she asked gobsmacked.

Scott snorted, "Yeah my sentiments exactly. He whispered that as soon as Peter's heartbeat faded, he whispered it, after asking Peter if he ever stopped loving him", the teen alpha flailed all over the place.

"Oh. My. God!!!" Lydia hissed staring at him in shock.

Scott noticed Chris straighten and walk back towards the kitchen.

'Eep!!!'

Squeaking, he pulled Lydia with him, and they both rushed back up the stairs to where Kira, Isaac and his mom were. The females were asleep on Stiles' bed and Isaac was curled up on an air mattress: Next to the Bay Windows.

Maybe it was the way they crashed into the room, or maybe it was their heartbeats trying to escape, but Isaac was up and snarling in seconds.

Kira woke pulling a dagger from seriously God-knows-where (she was wearing a sheer white night-dress for Christ's sakes!!!), and defending his mom from distress.

The move shifted something deep within his solar plexus, and wow....that....there were too many emotions and feelings swimming inside him.

And now, he had a new found respect for Stiles!

"Oh!!! I have a lot of respect for Stiles", Lydia breathed shakily.

"You aren't a mind reader are you?" he asked genuinely worried.

"After what we just witnessed? Scott, I'm not even wary anymore", Lydia exclaimed slumping against him, "I could grow fairy wings tomorrow!!! Who knows..." Her voice squeaked, "I can't right?" she asked suddenly a dead weight in his arms.

His mom stirred awake, at that exact moments. Eyes quickly going from sleepy to alert in seconds.

"What's wrong?" She asked, "Is Lydia hurt???" she threw the quilt off and rushed to the unconscious girl.

"Scott?" Isaac asked as he gently took Lydia from his grip.

Scott just stood there.

"Scotty? Kiddo, you in there?" Melissa swallowed, turning to Isaac, she hissed, "What's wrong with him??"

"I-I don't know. Let's just ask Lydia first", Kira whispered pointing to the redhead, who was now stirring.

What was he supposed to say, now that, his entire view of life had tilted drastically?

"SCOTT!!!"

Scott turned to Isaac, and blinked, "Hi", he murmured.

"Hi", he greeted, "What's wrong?" Isaac whispered, softly cautiously. The younger wolf led him to the bed, where Lydia now sat up, still dazed looking.
