Lydia and Kira grinned at each other, as they did each other's hair. Malia watched them carefully, "How long have you both known Stiles?" she asked softly.
Kira looked up, "I've only known him a couple of months", she answered as she twisted half of Lydia's Strawberry locks, into an elegant french knot.
"Lydia?"
"Honestly. I've known of him for years. But its only roughly been a year and a half that I've actually got to know him".
Her voice is tinged in layers of sorrow and saddness. But with also a happy note of pleasure.Melissa couldn't quite place what emotion she was feeling.
The girls had all come over two hours ago, to change into their clothes, and the boys were all at Derek's place. It was almost six and the girls still weren't ready.
"Hurry up Girls!! Enough gossiping, we have to be at the Stilinski house in 2 hours", she reminded gently. Patting Malia on the back.
Lydia squeaked, "Oh... I still have to do my nails!" she waited patiently, well as patiently as she could as, Kira pinned the last stray tuft of hair deftly.
Lydia rushed to the bathroom, still wrapped up in her bath towel. Malia had changed into a pair of sweatpants, and allowed Kira to brush her hair softly.
"Is this what being friends with girls like?" she asked innocently as she, bowed slightly, so Kira could lift her Auburn locks.
"I don't know. I've never had any before", Kira shrugged, "Or boys that were friends. I've always been a bit alone", she whispered, as she delicately french plaited to the side of her head.
After a few intricate twists here and there, Malia's hair was styled elegantly in a wavy-straight-ish tumble of wild brown locks, that rested against one side of her neck.
"Where did you learn all that?" Melissa asked shocked at the beauty of the simple yet elegant hairstyle.
"I told you. I didn't have friends. And generally in Japan, girls are given duties to complete, if they want a perfect match. Flower arrangements, Tea Ceremonies, Hair-Styling Techniques", she informed, "And since I spent 90% of my time after School at home. I had a lot of time", she shrugged, "Come on Melissa, its your turn", she ushered Melissa onto the chair.
As Melissa watched Kira deftly re-arrange her hair, Lydia walked out of the bathroom.
"Oh My!!"
Kira paused and looked up, she grinned at Lydia, even Malia looked suitably impressed.
Lydia wore a floor length, a Light-forest Green Sweetheart Dress. A Classic strapless Silky Chiffon flattering Sweetheart neckline with a crisscross pleated bodice, and with a Sparkling jewel rhinestones at the natural waistline along the elegant left-side Slit.
Lydia smirked and twirled, thankfully not a plunging backless. The back of the dress was zipped up, with a tiny barely visible emerald hanging from it.
Her strawberry blonde curls fell just below the jewel, and as she walked forward to a black Cashmere shawl, the Skirt swished and flaired around her long creamy legs. She wore Green Stilettos with a sliver buckled ankle strap, the heel was black with a silver tip, and her nail polish was silver-ish. "Thank God the Stilinski backyard is going to be warm, with those five industrial heaters, blowing heat in. Or else, this dress would have never been worn", Lydia grinned.
Malia smirked, "What were you saving it for anyway?" she teased.
Kira and Melissa snickered at Lydia's scandalized gasp.
