To the casual eye, the boy known as Jonathan Good could be dead. After all he looked like it.
After running away from the orphanage where he was maltreated for no other reason than he spoke up. He tried to fight against the tyranny of the woman who runned the orphanage, Mrs Stine called Grumpy Stine by the children but never to her face though kicked him out of the orphanage because of his habit of getting into countless fights. He had lived on the streets in the lowest of the lowest slums of Cincinnati,Ohio.
His mum had died when he was little after another dose of drugs, she slowly died in the tub. Well, you wonder at least he had his father to take care of him, His dad was in prison and even if he wasn't he never cared about Jon. He, Jon's dad always saw him as a nuisance, a mistake which he had no responsibility of.
But, really Jon didn't care if his dad didn't care about him or not, right now all he could think about was trying to gather willpower to stand after the beating he had just received from one of the notorious teenage gangs in Cincinnati. Well after living for so long on the steers you got used to this type of thing.
Jon was only happy that he had managed to hold on to the slice of bread that the gang had almost beaten him to get. Once again, he tried to rise but fell only to find a shadow over his prone, battered and beaten body. He shakily raised his head and looked up into the eyes of.....
