SURPRISE!

Proposal

"You're all probably wondering why you were asked to turn your phones off and not post anything on social media while in this room at the Vidcon Main stage." Louise said into the microphone, trying to hold back her tears of excitement and happiness. "We are about to tell you something that will probably cause fainting, happy tears, screams and applause. Are you ready for this?"

The crowd cheered, but none of them were truly prepared for what Louise was going to say next. She looked out into the crowd, took a deep breath and said slowly into the microphone, "Dan and Phil are dating."

The crowd of teen girls erupted with noise. They were crying, screaming, clapping, shouting, hugging and possibly some fainting. There was no way the crowd was going to calm down, but Louise continued anyway, shouting into the microphone above the noise.

"They have been together since 2009, but when they found out how much the phandom members seemed to ship them, they decided to keep their relationship a secret to protect them both. Now, here on the 2016 Vidcon Main Stage I would like to announce that Dan will be proposing to Phil."

The crown continued to roar in a frenzy of emotions, and the noise only grew louder as Louise spoke.

"They do not have their phones with them, so anyone not compiling to our request that you keep your phones off will hopefully not endanger Phil's chances of finding out until it happens. We still ask that you keep them off."

The crowd was dying down now, listening intently to everything Louise was saying, no one wanting to miss vital information about the proposal.

"Dan and Phil are now in the building and heading this direction. You will find under you seat a poster. All the posters together read 'Will you marry me Phil?' Could everyone please hold up their poster?"

Everyone did and it appeared they were all intact.

"When Dan says 'I have a question for you Phil' you all need to hold it up. Got it?"

The crowd cheered.

"Now quiet - they'll be coming on stage in a minute, Phil thinks they're doing a Q&A with me. Everyone act normal."

Louise laughed and then turned to look offstage. One of the coordinators off stage nodded.

"Here are danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil!"

The crowd erupted again, but apart from the huge group of girls all hugging together and crying, no one gave anything away.

Phil waved to the crowd and Dan winked, sending more phangirls into puddles of their own tears.

"Hi!" Said Phil enthusiastically, oblivious to Dan's intentions.

"Hello Vidcon!" Said Dan smiling, but hints to his nerves showed on his slightly tan face.

"So Dan and Phil, it's time for a Q&A! Are you ready?" Louise looked over Dan and Phil, noticing nervous sweat beads were beginning to form on Dan's forehead.

"Ready!" Phil replied smiling at Louise.

"Okay, first question comes from danisnotonfire!" Louise looked over at Dan, who was looking out at the crowd, smiling nervously, and then at Phil who had a confused look on his face.

"The first question is from Dan?" Phil looked at Dan, who wasn't looking at Phil, his eyes still on the crowd. "This Q&A is questions for us not questions we ask ourselves!" Phil laughed, still confused.

Dan finally turned to look at Phil, a smile on his face. "Actually, I do have a question for you Phil." Dan nodded at the crowd and everyone pulled up their poster, the words "Will you marry me Phil?" becoming clear for Phil to read. The entire crowd yelled out the words.

Dan pulled a ring from his pocket and looked at Phil. "Will you marry me Phillip Michael Lester?" He said, getting down on one knee and looking up at him. Phil's hands had flown to his mouth in surprise and tears were falling down his pale face.

"Yes! Yes a thousand times over!" He whispered, only just loud enough for the crowd to hear. "I love you Dan."
