*Rae's POV*
It was almost Christmas time, still there was no snow. I would have liked there to be snow, it always makes Christmas more Christmassy if that even makes sense. There wasn't anything compelling to see from the window in my little flat that was placed just outside the centre of London, a few buildings here and there and a few stray trees here and there. There were a lot of people rushing down the busy streets, going everywhere and nowhere. I had to admit that is was always busier due to Christmas. Yet I was here, in my little living room doing, well doing nothing. Not being busy with anything whatsoever. My life had never been that exciting. It had always been the same thing everyday.
I plopped down on the couch that was placed in the corner of the room. I was so bored, so I decided to go and watch some of my favorite tv shows again. Watching my tv shows was like my little get away from the real world I was living in. Sometimes I dreamed of having a whole different live in one of those fictional worlds. Only there was one little problem. The remote control was laying on the table about two whole meters away from me. I sighed. I stretched my arm out towards the place the remote was lying and concentrated really hard on the object. If I tried hard enough, one day, I would gain the powers to control objects with my mind. I just had to keep trying, and one day it will be happening. Still, until now it had never worked. Yet I wasn't giving up. "Why is life always so hard on me." I mumbled and sighed loudly while getting up and grabbing the remote control. Before I plopped down on the couch again my phone rang. I picked it up and the name Elisabeth was flashing across the screen. "Ugh." I said while sitting down and sliding the call button to the right. "Hello." I said.
"Having one of those days again?" Lizzy laughed.
"How'd you guess," I chuckled.
"Wanna come over?" She asked.
"Yeah I'll be there in a sec," I hung up and grabbed my stuff.
Lizzy was my neighbour. I met her when I moved here about six months ago, and we became really good friends. Actually, my best, and only friend. Yes, that is kind of sad, but I don't really care. I walked through the hallway and down the stairs. Lizzy's apartment was one floor below mine. I knocked on the door and seconds later she opened it.
"Heyyyy!" she exclaimed loudly.
"Heyheyhey!" I said while I smiling broadly and I walked through the door.
"Want some coffee?" she called out from the kitchen as I sat down on her couch.
"Yeah sure"
"So what's the plan for today?" I asked her as she set two cups down on the table.
"I still have to do some Christmas shopping. Wanna join me?" she asked.
I shrugged. I didn't have anything more important to do, "Sure! Why not."
*Lizzy's POV*
We drank our coffee, before we finally left the house for our shopping tour. Of course we went to central London, because it wasn't that far away and had every shop we adored. I was really happy, that Rae came with me, because for some reason she was the only human who really understood me in every single way. Sometimes it was like telepathy or something close to that, it was kind of scary, but at the same time it felt really good to be understood.
Basically, as always when we went shopping, we were looking for fanmerch to buy. Rae and I were fangirls. We were professional geeks and knew everything about any popular and enjoyable tv series, may it be Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead.
After we went to some shops like, for example, 'Forbidden Planet', which was literally HEAVEN for any fangirl or fanboy, we kept walking through the alleys of London's old town parts.
