Chapter 10 :D

---------------------------------------

Skyler's POV

I stared at the wall for what seemed like hours. My fingers would trace the lines that were put into the walls. I started to not talk as much, it was harder since they would force these needles into me, and keep telling me I'm someone who I'm not.

"Miss Desero, you can come with us." A man said, I didn't look back. I kept my fingers tracing on the walls. I didn't even think about moving. There were dark circles under my eyes and I felt so numb. I already lost so much now and the only thing I can do now is to just stay put and not say anything.

"Miss Desero." The man spoke again, this time much closer. I only pulled my hand back and stared at the wall like it was a TV. My mind didn't want to focus on anything other than the wall since there was nothing else for me to do. I couldn't sleep because I felt like I was in shock. No one's going to know about me being in here. Why try further?

"Come with me." The man put his hand around my arm, helping me off of the ground. I had been on my knees, sitting on my feet, and very close to the wall.

I felt so controlled and I never had to do much. My lips weren't my normal color, they had been faded into a light pink that wasn't common to have. The color of my skin had gone straight back to being pale and the color of my eyes were more dull than before. My hair was a mess and I didn't bother with it besides bathing. Most of the times I had to be helped because I wouldn't do anything. I wouldn't bother to speak or to move at most times.

Where were we going? I let my vision move towards my feet, I walked more differently when people would pull me around. I didn't want to walk so they forced me along with them. I had no idea what was happening.

"Off you go, Miss Desero. You can play with any of the games, watch TV, or associate with any of the other patients. This opportunity you are getting can be changed if you start to misbehave, that includes fighting, screaming, freaking out, or trying to escape. Do you understand?" The male authority questioned, I didn't even take a glance at him. I barely nodded my head and he huffed, walking off.

I picked up my feet and walked towards a chair with a table. It did have another chair on the other side, but no one was there. I saw a few other patients and they were doing games or the TV like the man had said. I lowered my gaze down to the game in front of me. It was Connect 4. I picked up one of the pieces to the game and felt the texture of it.

I slowly blinked and pushed it inside of the game slider. It fell down into it's slot and I started to pick up more pieces and push them into the slots. They were everywhere in there and I barely smiled, it was the most fun I'd had in here, but it just wasn't the same.

"Can-can I join...you?" Another patient asked, I looked up at her. She had dark, brown hair, dull green eyes, and those dark circles as well.

I slowly nodded and she took a seat in front of me.
