Chapter 16

Paloma's POV

         Niall filled me in on what has happened back at HQ.  Apparently, as soon as I was taken they were like little lost puppies.  And Matt being a betrayer really just caused  a big blow into our 'X'er fighting system.  I'm guessing they're just pulling through with getting as many Purple Girls as they can. It's only a 5 hour drive from NYC to Boston, so we were near the Hall in no time.  I took Niall through the back entrance and we ran in.

I have never fully seen chaos and I'm pretty sure HQ at the moment was the definition of chaos.  People were running around crazy, shouting at each other, and there's was ALOT of arguments going on.  I looked at NIall.  He was just as shocked as I was.  Aw, he looks so adorable when he's surprised. 

His eyebrows raise up so that he looks just-FOCUS Paloma.

"Niall, help me up."  He nodded and gave me a boost on to the desk in front of me.  Hey, it's pretty tall!  I swear that's the only reason Niall had to help me up! I stood up and over looked the mess unfolding below me.

"Hey!" I yelled.  Nobody looked up.

"HEY, DIPSHITS, YOU AREN'T GOING TO GET ANYTHING DONE DOING THAT!"  They all stopped what they were doing and looked up at me.

Cheers filled the air as they realized their E-Prime was back.  

I laughed. "Did you miss me?"  Marcus came up to me and crushed me in a hug.  I just laughed.

I was finally back, and I was ready to take those goddamn 'X'ers out.

"First order of business, " I say while scanning the crowd. 

"Is to find out who here is a mole."

All of them looked at each other and murmurs filled the  air  "Quiet! Now, if you think I won't know who you are, I will.  I have a very keen ability to know when someone is lying.  Plus, I will interrogate every single one of you and if you are suspicious to me, I will torture you and we will find out. Now, does anyone want to speak up?  "  The room was absolutely silent , and then shouts filled the air as two men began running for the exit.  I just rolled my eyes.

Of course, they were tackled to the ground. 

I looked down at them and sighed. "You guys really never learn, do you?  Nobody gets away from me.  And that sure as hell isn't going to start happening now."
