From Rivals to Friends

After the incident under the cherry blossom tree, I formed a rivalry between us. He's on equal par with me I guess, but that doesn't mean he's stronger than me, because I'm way more stronger than he thinks he is. He's a fool to begin with. We always fight and argue every time we meet, if we had the chance. On a bright sunny noon, I go to the park and I see him there with his sleeping mask. He seems to be sleeping in the  middle of the day I guess. I sit a few centimetres away from him. Suddenly, he noticed my presence. "What's up with you China?" he asked. "Don't call me that. I'm the Queen of the Kabuki district you low life tax robber." I proclaimed. "I bet you just wanted to fight like the last time." he deadpanned. "Yeah, and this time I'm going to win. You'll buy me tons of sukonbu if I win, yes?" I said, challenging him for a fight. "Not so fast, China. If you lose, you'll have to spin 3 times and say Woof!" he said. The sadistic jerk, trying to make a fool out of me again, but this time I'm going to show him who's the dog here. Our fight begins. It seems that he has the upper hand, but I guess this day will not be his lucky day after all. Strike after another, the fight begins to become a tie once again. However, I will not end the fight with a draw, not this time. In the middle of our fight, I see Gintoki walking Sadaharu. Gintoki sees the fight. "They're at it again." he sighed. "Hey, Kagura! You better not lose to him! I'm gonna make Hijikata buy me day's worth of parfait!" he shouted. "He's at it again." I thought. "Watch where you're going China, or else it'll be my win." the sadist boasted. "Don't even mention it." I said with confidence. The fight ends within half an hour. "I guess... I win...this fight once again...yes?" I said with an exhausted look on my face. "You're good... for a girl like you... to win." he replied with the same look as I am. We sit together on the bench with our clothes full of sweat. Thirsty for water, we go to a drinking fountain to quench it. We feel refreshed. After that, I see Gintoki jumping with joy because of my win, and that means a day's worth of parfait with Hijikata paying the expenses. As promised, the sadist buys me tons of sukonbu. I'm happy but at the same time I feel vexed when I'm around him, almost as if I'm becoming a tsundere, which is out of my character to begin with. However, that feeling quickly passes as we both go our separate ways.

A week later, the Yorozuya goes to a meeting centre to fix the rooftop. We're working hard to finish this, but while we are working we never expect that the Chief of the Shinsengumi is on a rendezvous with an actual gorilla. "D-Don't misunderstand this. This gorilla is my pet. She's so gigantic I dare say?" he said. From the way he looks, he's clearly hiding something from us. On the other hand, the gorilla is dressed up formally. Same as Kondo over here. I don't know, but I get the feeling that this is some kind of arranged marriage of some sort. Suddenly, we heard a thump on the other room. Shinpachi rushes to the room and sees Boss sister being kissed by a man. This surprise Kondo and the rest of us. Boss sister introduces the guy as Yagyuu  Kyuubei. Then, a shocking revelation has been spoken. Looking back with tears of sorrow, she apologizes and then she sets off with the man out of this place. We thought she was joking until we realized she isn't. The next day, we are on our way to the Yagyuu household. We heard that this clan is recognized all over Edo for its excellent style of swordsmanship, not that I care about them. Under the gray skies, we have arrived. The door opens and a group of security asked our identity. Shinpachi tells them that we're here to duel the Yagyuu's. I never expect that the Shinsengumi along with that sadistic jerk came along with us. Gintoki along with Hijikata, steps forward to represent us as his disciples. The chat didn't go along quite well, and we fight against them short after.  After we finish dealing with the security, we head down to the next stage. We stumble upon the 4 Devas of the Yagyuu clan. As we enter their vicinity, an egg comes flying towards me, staining my clothes in the process. "Hey, you have eggs on your clothes. Are you ovulating?" The sadist sarcastically asked. In a moment of silence, I put my hands on his face and smash him to one of the 4 Devas. I was completely mad about what he just said to me. "He deserves it." Hijikata said. A few minutes later, Kyuubei comes in the 4 Devas's quarters. He then declares a challenge against us. It's a plate smashing game. "If the Yagyuus win, then I will marry Otae. If you win, you are free to take her." he said.
