Finally, Tini got to the door if Music room #8. She opened the door, then closed it behind her and took her seat. She was the first one in the classroom as she usually was. She pulled out her sheet music that she printed off of the schools music website and she had been practicing and was nearly perfect. She sighed as the door opened again and the teacher stepped in. He looked surprised as he walked up to his desk. He was about to say something but then the door opened once more and students flooded into the classroom. Tini took out her book and read, not realizing who sat in the desk next to her.
"Maze Runner, huh?" A soft voice asked Tini. Tini looked up from her book, then to her side. Her eyes widened with realization and her face became red. She avoided eye contact and put her attention towards her book raising it a little higher to cover her face.
"Uh, yeah." Tini replied timidly in a shaky voice. She cleared her throat. "Um, w-what about you?"
"Oh, just the classics. Shakespeare, and such." The boy from earlier replied. Tini smiled.
"I like the classics too. Charles Dickens, J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkein, Jane Austin, George Lucas, C.S. Lewis, Maya Angelou - Edgar Allen Poe is a pretty good one too, creepy, but cool. Then there's also H.G. Wells, Sherwood Anderson, Louis May Alcott, Thomas Bailey Aldrich, Henry Lawson, D.H. Lawrence, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the list goes on for a while, well, more than a while, actually, its already gone for a while, any longer and I'd probably get real dorky, but that's just me ... I guess." Tini rambled quickly and nervously. She breathed out her nervousness, glanced over towards the guy, then back down at her book.
"What's your name princess?" He asked her smoothly. Tini laughed slightly.
"Well, it's definitely not princess." Tini chuckled. "It's, uh ..." She hesitated. "It's Tini. My name is Tini."
"In size ... or -"
"No. My actual name is - is Tini." She still avoided eye contact. "And you'll find out my last name here in a second I guess." The blonde guy opened his mouth to speak again, but the bell rang, and the teacher started to talk.
"Welcome to class, everyone." He said. "Today, we have a new student in our midst." Tini shrunk in her seat. Ohhhh man, I hate this part of life. Tini thought internally. "Tini, would you please come up to the front and introduce yourself?" Tini groaned and slowly walked up the isle hearing people whisper her name over and over again in curiosity, and mockation.
"Mmg." Tini groaned quietly. She kept her head down a little bit as she walked up to the front, and after what felt like a million minutes instead of just 30 seconds, she stopped and turned. Tini wore a nervous smile.
"Class this is Tini ... uh, M-Matsumiri." Even the teacher tried to stifle a chuckle, but failed and cleared his throat. Tini looked off to the side as if trying to avoid the situation and breathed out and tried to put on her best smile which faltered a little here and there as she raised her head. Her bangs fell in her face but she didn't care. Tini was rugged and didn't have much care for tedious self grooming. She took showers and such, but doing hair and finding matching socks (if they had any color at all), she just didn't find important, but no matter how rugged she was, her blue eyes were noticeably, beautifully gorgeous. "S-settle down now class, and let Tini tell a bit about herself." All attention turned to her again as she stood in front of the class. There was silence and open eyes and slight snickers.
"U-um. Well, there's really not much to tell." Tini shrugged and rocked on her heels slightly.
"You're in my music class, so what instrument do you play?" The teacher asked her.
"Oh. Um ... well, I play a variety of instruments actually, so where ever you need me, I'll - I'll be there." Tini shrugged and kept rocking.
"Thank you Miss - eruh - Matsumiri - You may g-"
"Er - you can just call me Tini. If that's ... yeah." Tini said than quickly took her seat. Tini kept her head down and sat in her seat as people snickered which caused to only shrink lower in her seat. The boy glanced over towards her, but she avoided his gaze in embarrassment.
