"This is it, then?"

"Yes."

"What about all the promises you made? All the moments we spent together? You promised me, Drake. You committed."

"We lost the charm, Ray. I think it's for the better that we. . ."

"We what, Drake? We what? What do you want me to do? Tell my family that just one night before my wedding day, my fiancee is ditching me. For what? No valid reasons!"

"That's your problem. I need a break. And that's it. I. Can't. Marry. You."

And with that I couldn't see it anymore. Closing the door to my bedroom as silently as possible, I took in a deep breath. I knew it from the very beginning. I knew they were never going to make it through. Attraction is never enough for two people to jump into a commitment called "marriage".

Peeking through my door for the last time, I saw them kissing their faces off. Unknowingly, a smile plastered on my face. The lion and the lamb fell in attraction again, isn't it? They sure as hell did.

Without bothering anymore I jumped on my bed and started searching for a suitable place to sit down. Though having a king size bed, I never have enough space to begin with. Why? Books, Laptop, Pencils, Sharpener, Eraser, Mobile, Football, Homework. Whatnot! Ugh! Being a girl I know it's messy. But kindly add "busy" before girl. Yes, I am a busy girl. A fucking busy girl.

When you are the only sane person there in your family, you become busy. But based on a family of only two people or maybe three if my elder sister gets married tomorrow, I don't know you can hardly count the situation sane.

Now why am I busy? Because, firstly, tomorrow is a working day. Actually, for me, every day is a working day. But believe me, tomorrow is fucking Monday and my elder sister, Ray thinks that tomorrow is a holy day. Now, don't ask me why. I hardly can understand what goes in that head of her. And, trust me, when I say that she and her boyfriend should not get married. They are crazy people and I am creating an asylum here. I can't even think what would happen when they are going to have babies having the same genes! Yikes! Spare me the horror.

I know I know I am confusing the hell out of you all. So let me clean my bed up and then I will tell you what's going on in here. Alright, mate?

Placing my football beside my pillow and putting all the other things on the carpeted floor, I laid down on my soft bed and pulled my cover up covering my face. Closing my eyes and letting out a deep sigh, I got struck by how a year can take such a turn that led to the present time and believe me when I say, I am not the person I was back then.
