My uncle told me someone living in Saudi Arabia had asked for me but he wouldn't tell me who but he kept giving me hints because it is someone I already know. For some reason no one came to mind even though I only really know a handful of people living in Saudi. So after 2 weeks my uncle finally showed me his picture, and in my mind I kept saying this is Luay (my third cousin) but for some reason I never said it out loud. Later he told my dad that indeed that was Luay.
(I grew up with Luay and his family I've known him all my life but when he got older I stopped talking to him because first of all he's not my mahram and second he had changed into someone I didn't like anymore)My dad immediately told him no because he doesn't want me to get married to someone that is too close to the family (not blood wise but that we are such good friends with each other). The reason was that if something went wrong in the marriage or if Luay was a bad husband or I was a bad wife then that might cause some problems between us and he wanted to stay away from that. I completely agreed because of that and I really didn't want to marry him at all so Alhamdulillah for my dad agreeing!
