Chapter 4
Tsunami

"No!- Char! That's not- He's not a dog! He can easily kill you, CHAR!"

"He's just a dragon, mom! Calm down!" Char, my five year old daughter, yelled from on top of a dragon.

"Char, I said 'Get down!'" I yelled above the roaring of displeased Thunder Dragons, "What makes you think you can ride a dragon? You hardly know left from right!"

She skillfully landed the dragon in front of me, but I dare not say I was impressed, "Right is... No, left is.... Uh! That doesn't matter!"

"When riding a dragon it does, wouldn't you want to know which way you're heading?"

"Yeah, cotton-for-brains!"

Of course, "Vergo!"

Vergo, my seven year old son, was always a smart mouth, and at necks with Char. Though, I guess he was taught that way by people. He had no pupils, or so it seemed, just eerie, glowing eyes that told his mood. His skin was dark grey, along with his hair. He was a great kid, and sarcasm was one of the perks of having him as a kid.

Char climbed off of the dragon, scowling, "You're just jealous."

"Jealous of stupidity?"

They started arguing, sending spits of rage at each other. Even the dragons seemed to be finding amusement. They looked to me, then Vergo and Char.

"What's with all the yelling?"

Snowdrop stumbled out of the house, coming down the wooden, roped together stairs. Snowdrop was small, same age as Char, with icy drops of a light blue through plain white hair. Her eyes were icy blue, with speckles of white. She carried her white teddy bear with her.

"You're siblings are showing how much they'd love to be grounded." I answered, shooting a glance to the bickering pair.

Vergo and Char snapped their attention to me, "WHAAAT?" They screamed in unison.

Snowdrop smiled, but changed the subject, "Are we riding into town today?"

"If you'd like to, go get some horses ready if you do."

Snowdrop stretched and headed for the Highland Pastures to fetch some horses.

Despite being five years old, she's tough, tough as ice shards. It made sense, she was skillful with the magic concerning ice, and was learning even more as the years went on. It was her favorite type of magic, and I knew she'd most likely be chosen for princess of ice.

"Are we going to?"

"If you and Char can get along."

"Humph. I might as well not go. I'm not staying with him another second longer!" Char sneered.

"Oh yeah-"

"Vergo! Hush!"

"She started it!"

"No, you started it!"

"Will you two stop?" Now it was Estrella's turn to wake up and scold, "You two will end up as dragon feed if you keep this up. Haven't you wondered where mothers old stable hand went?"

Char and Vergo's faces expressed true terror. Vergo's eyes turned to a bright orange, telling me he was truly scared.

"Thank you, Estrella."

"You're welcome, momma. What's for breakfast?"
