Kayla, guarded by two slightly built men in grey and green outfits, slumped in the chair that faced the door. She glanced at each of the men that guarded her. They already creeped her out. And anything that creeped her out, she knew she had to be careful of and assume the worst with.
She heard the door open and she looked to see another man in the same outfit entering the room. Great. More creepy people. She thought. The man smiled at her and she raised an eyebrow. This man is really strange. She added.
"How are you?" He asked. Kayla leaned forward as he sat down. "A little creeped out because of those outfits you wear." She said. The man laughed. "Of course you are." He said. "Now, do you know why you're here?" He asked.
Kayla shook her head. "If I knew why I was here, I probably wouldn't be in this room." She said.
The man nodded. "Well said. Now, I'll tell you why you're here." He said. "You're not in any trouble. You're here to tell me if you either accept or deny it."
"Accept or deny what?" Kayla asked. The man eyed her keenly. She was a likable girl. Whether she was friend or foe, she was someone to be respected. He realized that he had let the silence between them grow and now was the time to interrupt it. He signaled for the guards to leave and they obeyed. Once the door was closed tightly, he faced Kayla.
He saw the danger in her eyes and it told him that she wasn't incapable of defending herself against a well-built man like himself.
"Would you like to join The Corps?" He asked.
