I must have fallen asleep 'cause I woke up to Ffion shaking my arm. "Wake up Crystal. " she said. I ignored her and rolled over.

"CRYSTAL! DINNER TIME!" I jumped of how loud my mother was.

I quickly got up and walked with Ffion to the kitchen table.

"Crystal can you take this to the table for Ffion?" "Yeah." I walked over to the bench and mum passed me a white plate of chicken nugets. I put it on the table in front of Ffion.

"Crystal, dinner." I walked back to the bench and mum handed my plate. She looked at me smiling but then took a closer look at my face. She held my face in her hand, "What happened sweety?" I quickly took her hand off my face.

"Nothing." I said looking down. "We'll talk about this later " she said. I walked over to the table to join the others and started to eat my dinner. I also had chicken nugets but I had chips as well. I only ate a quarter of the plate of food. I then put my plate on the bench.

"Hey, Crystal" I turned around to face her "Yeah Ffion?" "Is Adventure Time on today?" She smiled hoping it was on. "Yeah, it is." I said turning the T.V on and putting it on channel GO.

"Yay!" She yelled happily looking at the T.V. "-going to very distant lands. With Jake the dog and Fin the human. The fun will never end. Its adventure time!"

I walked off to my room and looked at the time. It read 6:26. I sat on my bed and just stared at the carpet floor. Then my dad came in the room, "Bye sweety, I gotta go to work." He said giving me a hug and I gave him a kiss goodbye.

He always works night shift at work and sleeps during the day so I hardly see him."Crystal, what happened at school today." My mum said coming into my room and sitting on the bed beside me. "Nothing." I lied.

"That doesn't explain what happened to your beautiful face." She said staring at me sadly. "Mum I'm fine...I just tripped over that's all." I said once again lying.

"Honey, stop lying. You wouldn't have hesitated to tell me if you just tripped over." I looked into her eyes, "Yeah ok, I lied!"

"What really happened."

"I got into a fight! Ok!" She put her arm on my back.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

I stood up. "Because..." she stood up in front of me, "You wanna tell me why?"

"NO I DON'T! Just I'd rather talk about something else ok." She walked around my room, "Anything good happen today?" I held my head up and smiled.

"...Yeah.......I talked to Matt."

"You mean the Matt that moved schools?" She said walking up to me.

"Yeah THAT Matt." She put her hands on my shoulders and shook me in disbelief, "Your kidding." I shook my head, "No, I'm not kidding.....and what's with your choice of words, you've been hanging around Kristen to much."

She took her hand off my shoulders, "..Yes I've been hanging around your older sister too much." She then walked out of the room excited for me....though I don't know why.
