A Morning Of Assumptions

"Hello?" A male voice said on the other side of the line.

"Hey." I said acting calm. "Is everything ok?" He asked sounding like I woke him up.

I looked at the time, it read 1:35.

"Oh sorry....did I wake you up?!" I said trying to change the subject. "No......" He said sarcastically.

I giggled, "You're learning, I'm so proud!" I said with my hand other my chest. "

"Haha yeah I guess you've rubbed off on me." He said sounding awake now. "So anyways what's up?" He asked.

I sighed. Might as well tell him, he's never going to drop it.

"Oh...nothing, just got a mysterious call about someone going to make my life a living hell and will break every single bone in my body." I said casually.

"Wait....WHAT?!?" He shouted, I took the phone away from my ear because I felt death for a few seconds....he was really loud.

I put the phone back in the position I had it before hoping he wasn't gonna yell again. "Didn't you listen? I'm not repeating it." I said crossing my arms even though I knew he couldn't see.

"I know you're crossing your arms Crystal. But seriously are you joking because you better be joking." He said trying to calm down.

"Yeahhhhhh I'm totally joking...'cause I totally would call you at this time in the morning just to play a joke." I said rolling my eyes and uncrossed my arms. "Ok....so your not joking.." He said asking me.

"What do you think!" I whisper yelled in frustration trying not to wake anyone in the house up. I calmed myself down, "I should probably get some sleep. Sorry for waking you up."

"It's ok, call me if you need me ok." "Yeah, I will." I said about to hang up.

"Bye."

"See you in a couple of hours." I hung up.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP-*

I got up quickly with fear. "OMG ITS A BOMB!" I whisper yelled to myself. "So that son of a bitch IS gonna kill me...." I said mumbling under my breath. I was gonna get up and run out of the house but after a while I realised it was my phone. I grabbed my phone and hit snooze flopping back onto my bed in a starfish position.

"Oh thank god." I once again whispered.

I thought it would be a good idea to set an alarm so I wasn't late. This is the only time I've waken up because of my alarm, 'cause I usually sleep in.

I groaned and got up. "Why do I have to go to school! I hate school!" I said grabbing another pair of leggings, a beanie, knickers, bra, normal sized black top and a woollen knitted jumper.

I quickly got changed and walked out of my room into the kitchen. The kitchen was pretty small. It had a wooden bench top, some drawers, a pantry, a stove, a microwave, an oven, a fridge and freezer.

It was a pretty ordinary kitchen just really small. I made myself some toast and walked back to my room.

I looked at the time it was now 7:32. "What to do for half an hour..." I said wondering around my room. I would call my new acquaintance Jazzy...buuuuut she's probably busy plus I don't have her number yet. And I would call Matt but I already called him last night, I wouldn't want to bother him again.

I know!

I thought. After I finished my toast I grabbed my phone I had left on my bed and scrolled through my contacts. Jessie.

I tapped on her contact and pressed call after a few minutes of the phone ringing she finally picked up. "Hello?" She took a few minutes to click.

"OMG! Crystal! How's my weak friend going we haven't talked in so long!"

I grunted, "First of all I'm good, and second of all I'm not WEAK!" I said shouting into the phone. she laughed for a bit, "Yes you are."

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Not!"

"Too."

"Not!

"You know I could do this all day." She said cheerfully.

"So how are you?" I asked bluntly trying to change topic.

"Good! Queensland is awesome! I'm still pale though...when I come back I'm hoping I'd be black by then." She said casually.

"Oh my god Jessie! You can't just say that!"

"Well I don't care...........how's crappy Melbourne?" I sighed, "Crappy as always, isn't that why we had named it crappy Melbourne?"

She laughed again, "Yeah, crappy Melbourne and sunny Queensland."

I once again sighed. "When are you coming back!? It's weird not having you here, you've been gone for ages and it's a living hell being here....although."

"I know you love me sooooooo much, I won't be coming back until another 6 months. And what do you mean by although?" She then added, "Oh my glob! Does Crystal have a boyfriend?" She said evilly.

"No." I quickly answered.

"You do don't ya." I wish she'd just drop the topic. "Ok what I meant by although is..... Matt is back." There was a minute of silence before she went crazy.

"You mean the Matt that you loved and played Pokemon with." She said once again evilly.

"Yes and no. One I'm not in love with him and-" Do I love him? I thought. Cutting myself off I added, "Just no! I don't love him!"

"Ok ok, just calm your tits down." I frowned, "I will not calm down!" I said even though I started to calm.

"Uh huh." She said knowing I was calming. Myself and Jessie had known each other for a long time so she could easily pick out my emotions and how I was feeling.

Just she's in Queensland at the moment visiting her dad. "I hate to cut this conversation short but I have to go." I said looking at the time.

"Ok, until next time BYEEEEEEEEEEE!" "Yeahhhh bye." I hung up and chucked my phone on the bed safely.

I rushed out of my room and packed my bag with the things I needed for school.
