Liam’s POV

After singing to Alia, and seeing the tears in her face, I just really hope she’ll finally take me back. She sighs, “Liam…”

I walk closer to her, pulling her close, “Alia…”

I go to kiss her, but she pushes me off. My heart sinks and she backs away with tears in her eyes, “Liam we can’t do this, not here. Not in front of my teacher and classmates.”

I shake my head, “But I want them to see how stupid I was, and that I made the biggest mistake ever. Please, just hear me out.”

“No, Liam I don’t want to hear what you have to say.” She says as tears run down her face.

That’s when a girl walks over to Alia, and hugs her. I realize, that’s the girl who bullied and beat Alia, “Isn’t that the little shit who bullied you?”

Alia pushed me, “Don’t talk about Mercedes like that, at least she helped me through the mess that you caused me!”

The teacher of Alia’s class clears his throat, “Alia, would you like to continue this conversation with your uh—friend outside? I can excuse you for the rest of the day since it is early release, and we have 5 minutes left.”

She shakes her head, “No, Mr. Simmons, I don’t need to be excused, because Liam was just leaving. I have nothing to say to him—nothing.”

Alia sits in her seat, and looks straight ahead ignoring me. I sigh, “Uh—okay…if you have nothing to say to me—then I guess I will be leaving now.”

I turn to the teacher, “Um, sorry for interrupting your class.”

He nods his head and smiles, “Oh, don’t worry about it young man, we weren’t really discussing anything too important.”

My voice breaks as I touch the doorknob, “I’m sorry Alia, I’m sorry.”

I walk out the door, and look at the ground as I walk out of the school, that’s when the bell rung, and all of the students scattered out the classrooms and to the hallways, then straight outside. I sigh, as I walk out, but I hear footsteps, and turn to see Alia behind me,

“Liam—”

I smile and try to pull her close, “Alia—”

I finally thought that she was going to forgive, that she’ll let me fix the pieces I have broken. She sighs, “Liam, you—you can’t come here anymore.”

My heart shatters, “W—what?”

She nods, “Liam, you just can’t come here and sing to be expecting that I’ll just take you back. I’m not like those cliché girls in stupid fan fictions. Liam you really hurt me, and—and I don’t think I could ever forgive you for that.”
