"Everything will be okay, once I get out of the military I'll meet you in Hawaii and we can go back to Korea. Okay?" Guhn tells me.
"okay..." I say with a quiver in my voice. "Don't cry, babe. Okay, we'll be together soon. I love you. Everything will be alright, I promise"
I promise, those words can make you and break you. Those were the last words I heard before he boarded the airplane to leave. We've been together for 3 years. It was the first time we'd ever be so far away from each other.
"I'm gonna miss you!" Guhn's sister says to me.
"haha, I'll miss you too."
"don't go" she says almost to tears.
"I'll see you soon." I grabbed my stuff and hugged her before I headed out the door. "WAAIT! you forgot something!" she comes running towards me with a picture in her hand.
"oh thanks! bye hun" I say to her taking the picture. It was a picture of me and Micah. He was my bestfriend / my first love. We lost contact when I moved.
"Hawaii, here I come." I say on the airplane looking out the window.
