~Alex’s P.O.V.~

“Wake up”

“Fuck off”

“Krissy I swear to god if you tell me to wak-“

“Not you Alex, he has to get ready for his show today” I jerked awake sitting up as fast as I could only to hit my head off the top of the bunk.

“HAHAHA! That sounded like it hurt!” I heard Ryan yell from the bunk a little ways down the hallway.

“What time is it?” I groaned as I turned to look at Krissy, who was trying to hide her smile from me.

“It’s noon” I sighed before looking over to my right to see Sierra still laying there all curled up in her spot next to me, I could feel my heart rate start to pick up as memories of last night flooded back into my mind, about how she asked me to stay with her the night because of how lazy and tried she was to just walk inside her bus by herself. Her sleepy voice was honestly the sexist thing I have ever heard in my entire life.

“Sierra, are you playing at the show today?” I heard Becca ask as I started to get up out of the bunk, to get ready to head out back to my bus to get a shower and change out of last night’s clothes.

“No, I told you guys already I’m not playing at every show because I’m not in the band I’m just a merch and  touring girl” She mumbled before closing the curtain after I got up, I could tell she was irritated and hung-over about how grouchy she was. I turned to look at Becca who had tears streaming down her face, I was a little confused on why she was crying Sierra wasn’t being that harsh.

“Are you okay?” I asked as I watched the girl cling onto her guitarist and best friends for dear life. Krissy shook her head before showing me the way out to the bus, I could tell I was about to get a big story out of her.

“Listen; I trust you Alex only because Sierra let you stay the night, she usually never asks a guy to stay the night especially one she just met not too long ago so that must mean she trusts you. Becca, is getting really stressed out with Sierra not wanting to be in the band because honestly she feels bad that she is singing and preforming almost every song Sierra has written for the band.  When this band first started out Sierra was a part of it, but decided to do something else. The other don’t know why but I do, Sierra got a lot of negative vibes from a lot of people especially her own family saying that she wasn’t good enough, that she wasn’t cut out for lead vocals when she actually is amazing. For as long as we have been a band we have been pushing her and pushing her to go on stage with us hoping one day she will re-join at her normal position and be known as officially part of the band. It’s confusing I know, but it’s something the band has been dealing with for a while; I think that maybe if she talked to more musicans that had a hard time with everything she will change her mind. She actually didn’t want to come on Warped in the first place but we talked her into it after a while. Anyways, I was wondering if you could help us? Yu know slowly talk her into things because by the looks of it she already trusts you so much and also you guys really hit it off” I looked down at the ground for a while as we continued to walk toward my bus, really think about what Krissy just told me. I guess I understand how hard it must be for the band and Sierra.  Sierra has great and amazing talent; I don’t see why she won’t show it off even when she writes almost all the music she should take the stage with pride.

“I’ll help, I want Sierra to get the real appreciate she deserves” I looked over at Krissy and a wide smile spread across her face. She gave me a big hug, almost squeezing me to death with how happy she was.
