Warped Tour Is One Big Surprise (Alex Gaskarth Fanfic)

4 Days Of July

~Alex’s P.O.V. ~

“Care to explain what the fuck 4 days of July is?” I asked Josh Franceschi of You Me At Six, everyone was going off about how awesome the ‘4 Days Of July’ was going to be and I was so confused on what the Hell it was and every time I asked someone they would all laugh at me. Even when I asked Sierra she made up some excuse that she had merch to take care of or something.

“If I tell you will you calm down about it, mate?” He finally turned to me and said, I nodded my head slowly as I crossed my arms over my chest. I didn’t have set for another hour or two, and Sierra was doing an acoustic today instead of a show so everyone can calm down about her not playing in two days. After the kiss Sierra and I shared everything wasn’t really different between us that was probably because we haven’t been able to really see each other, everyone was getting back into the routine of Warped which means more things like signing and what not so everyone was usually busy twenty-four/ seven.

“Well the ‘4 Days Of July’ was something Romeo’s Secret made up in one of their vlog videos along with Asking Alexandria, Sleeping with Sirens and Pierce the Veil in the video it was basically the first 4 days of July doing nothing but setting off fireworks in every day for four days whenever they got the chance and wherever they got the chance, and playing the worst possible pranks on each other on and off the stage.” Josh had the biggest smile on his face when he finished giving me a short explanation on what it was.

“So in one day tops it’s basically going to be an all-out war between the bands?” I said crossing my arms over my chest; this was probably the dumbest but greatest idea in the world.

“Basically, but it’s also like a game of tag. Romeo’s Secret starts of course and then they go and tag someone else. How do they tag them? Easy they basically prank them and then they have to go and prank another band, until all the bands are either involved or until it’s the last day which is the 4th of July. On that day it’s basically a huge truce party, BBQ, drinks, and the rest of the fireworks; it’s actually quite nice” I was having a bad feeling about this idea, I could already tell my band was going to get real into this.

“It sounds dangerous but fun at the same time” I rubbed my face in frustration I was so totally not ready for this, I don’t even think my band had a plan yet again I haven’t really been hanging out with my own band since we started to tour. I suddenly got an overwhelming feeling of guilt when I came to the realization that I have barely talked to my band since tour.

“You okay, mate? You don’t look too good.” Josh said as he grabbed my shoulder,

“Yeah, I’m just gonna go catch up with the guys to talk about the game plan early. I wanna be prepared for this shit!” I said as I began to walk away until Josh grabbed my shoulder.

“They are at Romeo’s acoustic; I’m about to head over there too.” I nodded my head a little, everyone seems to go and watch Romeo’s sets and what not even when Sierra is playing it’s the biggest crowd when she’s on stage and off.

“Hey guys” I quietly said as I placed a hand on Jack and Zack’s shoulders getting in-between them to get a better look to what was going on.

“Well look who it is!” Zack smiled at me before looking back over the crowd.

“Oh hey Lexi!” Jack said as he tried to mimic Sierra’s voice which he did a very bad job at.

“So you guys heard about the 4 Days of July?” I asked, Jack got the biggest smile on his face along with Zack I was terrified to know what they were thinking.

“Oh yeah we did, we have the perfect plan we need to discuss later. For right now I wanna hear your girlfriend sing” Jack said as he pointed over to Sierra who was sitting on the stool.
