Who Killed Her?

It's Christmas Eve

Dear Readers,I want to Thank You all for following up with my story till this chapter.This chapter is special firstly because it is really written on Christmas Eve and secondly because the major clues are being thrown out in this chapter.Lastly I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas!

Yes,it was that time of the year again!Snow flakes flew from the wide sky and lightly placed itself on the soft mushy white grounds.Churches were warm with the sweet voices of children singing carols and Santa was getting ready for the big occasion.
Yes,it is Christmas Eve!

Some months have passed and the CBI had informed mom that the case was being examined carefully.The suspects were questioned and investigated and the Head Detectives were on their way to finding the culprit!

(Last year,same day):- "Mom we need to be quick,where are my socks?" Charlotte muttered. "It's too cold dear so I wore them,Sorry!"said Mom.
"A superstar who has a shortage of socks.Wow!" I said.

It was Christmas eve and Charlotte had to go and perform in a fund raiser concert for the Under priveleged Children of the city.We were all getting ready and were late as usual.Suddenly,the door bell rang.Diana was done and was just sitting there so she went to open the door.

There was nobody outside just snow and cold wind,she was about to close the door but she suddenly saw something down.It was a square box wraped in red paper which also had a note.She took it in the house.

At that very moment all of us were quite done and ready to leave.But Diana brought the gift in so we took a second to just open and see what it is.We opened the box and shockingly there was a knife,a hand mirror and a doll.We were amazed and startled for a moment.We then checked the note.It quoted,"Dear Charlotte Death is coming soon!"

We laughed and made a joke out of it as we thought one of Charlotte's friend had played a prank.Being late,we just left that scary gift there,shut the door and leave in mom's XUV for the concert.

After a few hours of enjoying in the concert,we finally came home.On arrieving home we saw the front door slightly opened.Mom was shocked and told us to stay back as she went to check in.She took the metal rod placed next to the front door and went in to check.Everything was in order.Nothing seemed stolen or tampered with.She called us in.

We gusshed in quickly as it was very cold and freezing outside.Then I noticed something!Yes,the gift box containing the knife,the mirror and the doll was missing!

(Present Day,24 Dec):- While I was lying on the sofa watching movies and remembering Char,as always,Mom was in the next room making warm soup for us and Diana was busy with her phone,sitting in the sofa next to me.It was Christmas Eve and a very cold day indeed.I could hear the choir doing carols outside.Suddenly,the door bell rang!Mom shouted from the next room,"Diana will you please check who that is dear I'm busy here"

Diana went on,opened the door,She glanced outside but informed us that nobody was there,and that snow had covered the most parts of the city.She was about to close the door but she saw something on the ground.

Yes,it was a red square gift box.She took it inside the house.

Mom came running to see what it was and I turned the T.V off.Diana unwrapped the gift box and to our surprize it contained the same things sent last year.

Shockingly now thd knife was covered in blood,the mirror was broken and the doll was missing.

The note read,"I sent Charlotte to Heaven"

Mom was about to cry but first called the police.In the next 10 minutes our house was filled with policemen and Detectives again like always.
