Give Me Hope another Day

Dear Lord call me home
Take the flesh from my bones―
Give me freedom give me power―
Rock of ages clefts for me!
Call me home, sweet mother,
Call me home, there's no other,
Call me home, I tasted your dower―
Roll the stone, and set me free.
Rock the cradle, make me sleep
Rock the cradle, make me weep
Till my ashes blow away,
Give me hope set me free.
Dear Lord take me home,
Take the flesh from my bones―
Give me Freedom give me power,
Rock of the ages clefts for me!
I lived on a hill, and lived in the gutter
I lived for the thrill, and lived for my brother.
I lived in your house, I lived for the hour
Walked away, sweet Jesus, set me free.
