Chapter 12

LUNA'S POV

The next day, I was sitting in my room, when I heard a knock on the door.

"Uh, Luna?" Niall poked his head in as I looked up from my hands.

"Yeah?" I asked. I could feel myself becoming more kind to them. I hated it. I promised myself I wouldn't, but I did.

"The boys went hunting and I have to talk to you about some things." Niall said as he walked in and sat next to me on my bed. "Do you know why Nathan showed up?"

"All I got is that he wants to take me away from you guys." I said. That's true, that's all I've got out of them because none of them will tell me, but Niall never had a say. They let him, he just chose to keep his mouth shut.

"He does and that's because he's in love with you." Niall said "That one day we left you with Harry, we went to find out some information about him. Apparently, his mate, Maria, looked just like you. He thinks this is a sign just because you look like her. Now, I'm being serious, you two are identical."

"Wait." I stopped him. "What happened to Maria?"

"She was killed apparently." Niall said "Famous murder in the 50's."

I felt bad for him to loose his mate like that, but not bad enough to substitute for her.

"I want you to have this." Niall handed me a gun out of his pocket, along with a box of bullets. "You were right. You need to protect yourself and know what's going on. I trust you now. You love Louis now. That means that somewhere along the way, you might feel something for the rest of us. I want you to trust me too, but I need you to promise that you won't use it against us."

I stared at him in shock. He trusted me? How? I've lied and lied and lied and yet he still trust me.

"I promise." I said as I wrapped my arms around his neck and hug him tightly. It took him a second, but he held me back just as tight and hid his face in my neck. I swore he took a deep intake of breath just to smell me.

"I need you to hide it." Niall said as I thought of the perfect place.

"I'm trusting you, don't make me regret it." Niall said as he kissed my nose lightly. "I need to make sure my princess is safe."

Suddenly Niall's head perked up and a look of panic covered his face.

"They're back, hide it." He whispered and I quickly made my way to the closet. I hid it in a little compartment, covered by clothes.

I came back out and quickly jumped on the bed next to Niall, acting like we weren't doing anything.

He pulled out his phone and I didn't have one so I just sat there.

"What're you guys doing?" Liam asked as they all walked into my room.

"You know, nothing as usual considering I can't do anything." I said as I kept up my usual act.

"Don't be so bitter about it, babe." Zayn said with a little smirk on his face.

"I'll go trap you in a house for weeks and see how you like it." I said back as Louis walked over to me.

"Hello love." Louis smiled as he kissed me.

"Ew no PDA." Harry faked a gag.

"You wouldn't be saying that if it was you." Louis smirked over at his curly haired friend.

"Ugh." Zayn rolled his eyes.

"Don't be so bitter about it, babe." I mocked as Louis joined me on the bed, wrapping our arms around each other.
