Chapter 3
"He's not my master!"
"Oh yeah? Then who the hell is he to you then huh? The bucket king?" Raphael asked sarcastically.
"Some of us have no choice, lucky for you, you do. Many are forced into this horrid life" Eris snarled.
"Yeah, because you were stupid enough to obey that asshole in the first place!"
She shook her head, scoffing at his remark. Her blood was boiling with anger.
How could he act like he knew the situation?! How could he think he's so right with his judgment?!
How could he be so arrogant that he had the right to judge them for the actions they were forced to do?!
How could he think he knew exactly why we do what we do?!
"You stupid 'heroes', or whatever name you call yourselves, think that we chose this path, this so called life, was unwillingly. Bradford miss placed his loyalty to this monster, desperate to please someone for once in his life. Xever was an orphan as a child, he grew up with bad people, he grew up only knowing one thing on how to survive, stealing. He grew up in a world filled with nothing but hatred, cruelty, anger. Tigerclaw is a misunderstood mutant, a dark past that haunts him to this day! Baxter, is pushed around and always looked down on. He had always been made fun of, discouraged, and always mistreated. All of these people, they were misguided because everyone around them showed nothing but cruelty."
Raphael's eyes trailed down to the ground. She was right, every one of them was mistreated, making them hate the world. What bothered him the most was he was actually starting to believe her words.
His eyes, remaining cold and angry looked up at her, glaring holes through her body.
That didn't mean they had to result to killing the innocent! That didn't mean they could have an excuse because of a sob story past! They had no right to kill innocent people for their unresolved issues!
"What's your story?" Raph hastily asked.
"A life will end if I do not obey his commands, and that life, does not belong to me. If I don't do what he asks, he'll kill my little sister, she's the only family I have left. I'm not risking her life anymore. I have a deal for you and your brothers, one that will benefit, both of us" She informed.
Raphael's eyes widened, his blazing neon-green eyes softening as he gazed at her pain and saddened face. Would he turn out like her if this happened to him? Would he really kill for Shredder to keep his brothers safe from harm?
The answer is yes.
He loves his brothers to now end. Sure he'd yell at them, scream at them, beat them, but if it really came down to this, he'd do it.
He would do anything, anything to keep his brothers away form danger, he'd steal, he'd kill, he'd even give his life if it meant they could live. He'd do anything, and noting would stop him.
She was doing the same thing he would've on. She was only protecting her sist from harm.
Should he trust her? Should he believe her words? What's this 'deal' she was talking about?
All these questions raised through his mind, giving him a terrible headache, making him shut his, scrunching his nose. Or at least where it would've been.
She silently looked at him, her eyes glassy, turning away about to leave, when he asked.
"What's your name?" He asked curiously.
"Eris" She answered, almost as if she was shy and ashamed.
"Why do I get the feeling that your lying? C'mon, even I'm not stupid enough to believe that's your name." He urged.
"A-Annika, it was Annika" She silently replied.
"I'm...Raphael" He introduced.
"I'm sorry for the things I'd have to result to do in the future. Just know it isn't for my well being, but for hers." She apologized softly, "I'm just doing what I can to let her live. I want her to have a normal life."
"You really think she'll have a normal life, with this?"
"I have to try, she doesn't deserve this, she doesn't deserve a miserable life and have to go through this."
"You don't either"
She was silent after that, not even glancing back towards him. She felt so guilty, after everything she's done, all the people she's kill, tortured, made them suffer. If only he knew what she had done.
'No I don't, I deserve to suffer for the longest I can live. I deserve to rot in misery'
"Prepare for your brothers' coming, I have a feeling their on their way." She told him, deadpan.
She walked of to the darkness where Raphael could no longer see her figure. Her tail moving side to side cautiously, her wings slightly folding and unfolding, her ears moving with her emotions.
She might be an assassin, but she's still a living thing, with feelings. Squishy and mushy feelings, as Mikey called it.
He sighed, his head wandering off to his endless thoughts. He rested his head on the cold brick wall.
How could she suddenly just cut off the emotions and stop feeling? Was it because of loosing the people she loved, watching them suffer cause her that?
Wonder how Lame-o-nardo is doing, probably pacing around the lair living room relentlessly as Egg-headed-genuis tried to make him think straight. Mikey would be worried sick about him.
He smiled, remembering all the fun moments with his brothers and father.
His smile turning into a frown. The cold surrounding not helping at all to his comfort.
Wherever you are, I hope you'll be alright guys. Stay safe, don't come for me, don't try to rescue me. For your own shells stay at the lair, don't be stubborn this time.
Don't try to be hero Leo.
He tried convincing himself that they're not coming, trying to relive himself, only having the urge to slap himself.
She's right, no way they would've stayed behind! Stupid stubborn idiots! It's a damn trap!
