It's Time To Begin

∗Chapter 4∗

I was zoning out, unable to reply, melting in my chair.

"Earth to Christine?" One of the boys rested their hand on my shoulder which managed to smack me back to them. I focused my eyes on him, it was Finn.

"Oh, was I zoning out? My bad, it's a horrible habit of mine." I said embarrassed.

"It's not a problem, beautiful. Now, let's get down to business!" Jack smiled. "We've watched a couple of your videos, well, I watched a couple, let's just say Finn licked your channel clean!"

"Wh-what!? Jack! Shut up!" Finn cried while he punched his brother, his face was flushed red. I couldn't help myself and died laughing.

"Anywho," Jack began "I was thinking about doing a little challenge with you for our channel, something with a blindfold, perhaps?" He winked at me.

"I like the idea, I'm in! As for my channel, I have a song in mind, so I was wondering if one of you boys would like to be the 'prince charming' for the music video?"

"It would be my pleasure! Of course, I'm the perfect choice!" Jack responded while raising his chest trying to make himself look like a buff guy. Although I'm pretty sure I'm already melting without that little gesture of his.

"How come you get to be in her video, what about me!" Finn objected.

"I kind of beat you to it, Finny. You know what they say, the early bird gets the worm."

"You're not making any sense, Jack. I still think we should have had some kind of agreement first." He insisted

"Oh wait, am I supposed to be the worm?" I questioned him, with a shocked yet smiling face.

"How about a change of topic!" Jack muttered while getting up from his seat "Let's get out of here, it's getting crowded."

Jack extended his hand for me to take it, but Finn snatched my arm and pulled me towards to door instead, leaving an annoyed Jack behind.

"Finn! Ahaha jeez! We can't just leave him behind!" I giggled. "Jack! Come on!" I titled my head towards him.

Jack rushed to us, taking a spot right next to me. Is it me or did he just give his brother an evil glance? Noo, I must be seeing things.

We left the restaurant and stood admiring the beautiful plaza. There was so much greenery and benches everywhere, and the weather was so warm and perfect.

"Look! There's a little band playing over there!" Jack pointed out, I followed his gaze and saw 3 young adults playing some instruments, a banjo, some bongos and some maracas. I was surprised there weren't so many people paying attention to them, they were wonderful!

I decided to liven the air a little bit, so I ran towards them and asked them if they wanted to help, they agreed and I instructed them on a beat.

I started the beat by using my hands and legs. A stump on the ground, a clap, then slamming my hands on my thighs and then repeat, with a little difference in the number of the claps. After a few claps and stumps, the banjo started playing a folky tune with the maracas joining in after.

I looked towards the boys, they were so confused and had no I idea what I was up to.

"Jack, Finn!" I gestured for them to come closer.

And I started singing.
