"Promise me that you'll never leave me alone."
Her hazel brown eyes looked deep into mine. The sun was slowly drowning behind Mount Fuji and darkness was making its way from the alleys and long shadows. We stood still like two birds stuck in time while the world around us continued to move forward. Her words felt like a heavy burden. Even though I had said the same words hundred of times somehow everything now felt different. I felt unbearably sad.
"I promise."
"Thank you. I love you.
I smiled though I knew that it was a lie.
