My Missing Friend

Chapter 2

The bell rang and I went to my class. And I saw my friends already sitting in the class, but except Chris. I walked towards my friend Anna...

"Hey, Anna.... How was your vacation?? I've missed you..."

Anna said: "You come here without giving me those famous hugs?!?! I thought you're not gonna change but you literally did. Where's my hug Angie??!" I smiled with her and I lent towards her and gave her her hug that she wanted... and were both began laughing.

Sometimes they called me Angie by my nickname.

"Angie, did you saw Chris?! I didn't see her and that's weird. I've text her yesterday and she said that she was really excited for today and I thought that she would come but I couldn't find her anywhere. Did you saw her??" Anna said.

"I was going to ask you the same question. I didn't have my phone the whole vacation, that's why I couldn't text her. She has never skipped school once. Do you think we should tell it to my dad?"

"No, I think we can better wait until the end of school. You never know, something could have happened and she's coming late maybe."

"Yes, you're right. There's Miss Laurien coming. I'm going to my table. Bye for now Ann."

I called her by her nickname too sometimes.

"My favorite students, how are you guys??! Missing the vacations already?! Haha... anyway..."

She talked and talked about what we're gonna do this whole school year and then she switched to the presence list. She began saying the names and then she said: "Chris Warmood." There was no answer and then she said again: "Angela Skye, do you know where's your friend?" 

"Um, no Miss Laurien. I don't know. I didn't see her today."

"Okay, the Chris Warmood is absent and then next one is....."

She kept saying names and everyone was present, except Chris. I began worrying much and I asked if I could go to the bathroom to call her.

I went in the bathroom and I dialed her number, the phone ringed and someone answered. I scared because, that voice wasn't Chris' voice.

"Hello?? Chris?!"

A heard a really masculine voice and it said: "Ahh, you're Angela. I've heard so much about you. You know what?? You're friend is waiting here for you. If you wanna know where she is, you'll need to do me a favor. Are you gonna take it or not?!"

"Um yes." 

My voice was kinda shaking. 

And then he said: "Alright. But if you tell anyone about this, your friend will die!!"

I was really scared and tears were falling from my eyes. 

"Okay, you'll need to give your dad a poisson and I will give it to you myself. Can you meet me now in the parking lot of your school and there's camera and microphone everywhere watching and hearing you, so you better don't tell it  to anyone! Understand?!?!"

"Yes, I understood. And why do I need to give my dad a poisson. Do you know him?! Do you have a problem with him?!" 

"I didn't ask you to ask me question, I just said to meet me NOW in your school parking lot!!!" 

He ended the call but I was really scared and I didn't know how to get out of school to meet him in the parking lot. I hope there's nobody outside. 

I walked outside. There were no one outside, so I walked to the parking lot and I saw a man standing there and he just handed me a pack and he pushed me to go back. He didn't said any word. He just handed me the pack and pushed me away. 

I walked really fast to class 'cause I took really long time in the toilette and I hope that the teacher is not going to ask why I took really long.

Hours later, the bell rang and suddenly Anna walked towards me and she said: "Chris didn't came. We need to tell it to your dad."

"Oh no, that's not necessary. Maybe she will come tomorrow. I will call her today and ask her why she didn't come and maybe she will come tomorrow."

"Um, okay. Angie, you sound really weird. Is something going on that you want to talk about?! You sound really weird and your voice was shaking and you speak so fast. I can barely understand you."

I knew that she's gonna ask me if something is going on but I really wanted to tell her so she could help me but I couldn't. I will put the life of Chris in risk. 

"No!! Why do you say that. I'm alright. Just a little worried that Chris didn't come. anyway, I need to go now. Bye Anna!"

I walked really fast to my dad's office, waiting until he's ready to go home.

I walked into his office and he was like really busy: "Hey Angie, I'm really busy here. I think I would be ready in an hour. But if you can help me, that would be great."

"Okay dad."

"You're like really weird, is something going on?!"

"No dad, everything is alright. What do you want me to do first?!"

"Alright. Can you bring me those papers?"

I helped my dad, while I was thinking what I'm going to do. I really don't know. Because I definitely don't want to lose my dad, and neither my friend Chris...
