Mel's Pov
I woke this morning not in the mood to do anything I wasn't feeling it
I got up showered then got dressed I walked downstairs and found my mom in the kitchen
"Mama" I said about to cry
"Baby what's wrong" she walked around to come hug me
"Can-n I take a mental health day today" I was the verge of tears
"Of course baby, I'll call the school in an hour" she said kissing my head
"Marnie, Nate come eat breakfast" my mom yelled
Nates Pov
Gilinsky stayed the night last night because some of the boys got in a fight and he didn't want to deal with it
We heard my mama call us down to eat, I was surprised she didn't say Melanie's name because she always the one excited to eat in the morning but I kinda ignored it
Jack and I were walking down the stairs then we say Mel laying on the couch curled up with a blanket asleep
I walked into the kitchen
"Ma is Mel okay"
"She's just talking a day off...a lot happened she told me you have to protect your sister I mean yeah she acts tough but she is my most sensitive kid.. I think I might send her to Florida to go see her dad for a week or so she's always her happiest with him" my mom sighed
I just nodded Jack and I sat down and started eating
