Our ideals change and our thought processes are altered
You came back to our school
I saw you and old feelings came flooding back
But I didn't want you anymore,
I didn't want to spread my arms wide and embrace you in the biggest hug ever
I just wanted to be friends,
Just wanted to be able to go back and not make a huge mistake
I'm in a relationship, you were in a relationship
I'm happy, and you're happy, that's all that matters
We're friends now, that's all that matters
Because you're one of the coolest people I know
Your love for the Beatles is something we still occasionally talk about
Life is still good
Because the art of living life
Is to move on and not dwell on past events
Because that's just how life works
If you stand still, nothing's going to happen
Nothing in life will matter
So, step out of the past, and just keep walking
Because you'll run right into happiness
And everyone in this world should be able to wake up every morning,
And just smile
