Mia Davis, a thirteen-year-old girl looked at her best friend, Isaiah Joe, helplessly. He was a few inches taller than her, so she had to look upwards. "Im sorry, Isaiah, but I have no choice. I have to move back to Minnesota." The usually calm and collected 13-year-old boy struggled to hold in the tears that were threatening to burst. "I know, I know. I just am going to miss you, a lot." Mia rested her arm on his shoulder comfortingly. "I'll miss you too. But we always have Kik and Skype, right?" Isaiah reluctantly nodded. "Yea, I guess so. It just won't be the same, ya know? You and I always do everything together." Mia put on a fake smile, for Isaiah's sake. "Well, there's Nasir. And you always have Kaylee!" Isaiah scrunched up his nose at the mention of her ex-friend's name, Kaylee. "I hate her! She was so mean to you!" Mia laughed lightly. "Yea, she was mean, wasn't she? And horri-" "Mia! It's time to go! Tell Isaiah goodbye, and come on!" Mia's mom called from the open door of their old house as she carried out the last box. Isaiah looked down at Mia sadly. "Well, I guess this is goodbye." Mia couldn't take it anymore. She practically jumped into Isaiah's arms and hugged him tightly. Isaiah froze for a fraction of a second before he hugged her back. After about 5 minutes, Isaiah ended the hug. "I guess this is it." He said quietly. "Yes, it is. Goodbye Isaiah Joe." She shouted before she got into her dead dad's SUV. "So long Mia Davis." He whispered softly as he watched the vehicle slowly make its way down the street. As the SUV went out of site, a single tear rolled down Isaiah's cheek. He sighed and walked back toward his house, leaving the tear stained on his cheek.
