"Holy. Crap. Is that... Romeo captain-of-the-football-team Mills? I didn't know he was an actor. That makes him so much more attractive." I sighed. Just like all the other girls in this room, she didn't think football and acting could mix. Geez, didn't anybody watch High School Musical as children around here? Plus, I needed something to do now that football season was over. I heard the other girl giggle, and her response surprised me. Instead of agreeing with the first girl, she said, "I can guess what role he's auditioning for." What? Did I hear her right? Instead of saying something like "he's so dreamy" or whatever, she made fun of me. Surprisingly, that was a little refreshing. I glanced over at them so I could talk to them later and find out which one of them surprised me. When I glanced over, the Juliets were called, and one of the girls stood up. Since I knew that I would be going in right after them, I decided that I would talk to her first. When I was called in about 20 minutes later, she was on the stage, getting ready to audition. "O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name; or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love and I'll no longer be a Capulet." I was stunned. She was freakin' fantastic! I looked around, and clearly all the other girls agreed with me, judging by the displeasure on their face. Everyone clapped as she blushed and exited the stage. I caught her eye as she looked around for a seat and I motioned for her to sit with me. She smiled and walked toward me, then sat in the vacant chair next to me. "That was amazing! I'd be surprised if you didn't get the role." She blushed again. "Thanks. It took me the longest time to memorize those lines. I'm Juliet, by the way." It was her. The one that surprised me so much earlier. I smiled and stuck out my hand. "I'm Romeo. That's my actual name, by the way. Not some ego thing about how I'm sure I'll get the role." She laughed. "Good to know. Juliet really is my name as well." "Romeo Mills!" I was called up to the stage. I looked at Juliet. "I guess that's my cue. Wish me luck?" She smiled. "Good luck Romeo." I smiled back at her and went onto the stage.
