Okay, this is so far my favorite chapter. Even though last chapter Sam asked Sea to run away with him... he's so intense. And dreamy. And perfect. I LOVE HIM. Yeah, so..... read?

Chapter 5~

The next morning was awful. I hadn't slept well, after coming home around 11:30, and waking up at 5 a.m. didn't help, especially when you're the type who can't fall back asleep.

I groaned aloud and stretched, accidentally nudging Charlie with my knee. She let out a snort, still asleep, and rested her itsy bitsy paws on her face. Lucky dog. Silently, so as not to disturb her, I slid out of bed and crept into my bathroom.

Might as well start the early morning with a nice, long shower.

Even though it was my second time walking into my new high school's doors, I still felt a thrill. A queasy, excited thrill. I managed to reach the hall where my first class was located when someone covered my mouth with their hand and wrapped an arm around my stomach, yanking me backwards.

Alarm shot through me and I began clawing and thrashing in my captor's grip, my screaming muffled by the hand, I could tell it was a guy by how knuckly and slim his long fingers were, and the scent of musky... shampoo?

"Shh," he demanded, whispering. I thrashed my head from side to side, telling him 'no' and continued fighting. He dragged me out of the school doors, causing my heart to pulse painfully in fear.

It's no wonder I've never gone to a public school before!

As a last resort, I closed my eyes and bravely licked the hand clamped over my mouth, preparing for it to taste horrible. Instead, it tasted like the smell of earthy soap.

"Ew, Sea," Sam laughed. Sam! He let go of me and wiped his slobbered-on hand on his black skinny jeans.

"Why on earth would you do that? You gave me a heart attack!" I pressed my hand over my heart, still gasping from adrenaline. Sam smiled.

"It adds to the mystery of why I'm doing this." His emerald eyes twinkled in amusement and veiled laughter. I narrowed my eyes and looked at him suspiciously.

"And what would 'this' be, exactly?" I asked curiously. He flashed me a full smile that showed his surprisingly white teeth, and cocked his head.

"Where would the fun be in telling you?" he asked playfully. I'd never met someone so full of spry this early in the morning, besides myself. My curiosity rose.

"I think I should be informed of your plans, considering you just kidnapped m-"

"Not a chance." he grinned at me, then grabbed my wrist. "Come on." I frowned in puzzlement.

"What, why?" He didn't answer, he just kept pulling me in the direction he was walking in. I started to wrestle my wrist from his grasp.

"Sam," I laughed, "what are you doing? We have school!" He turned around and smirked.

 "Screw it."

We rode on his motorcycle, my uneasiness from skipping fleeing my mind with the feeling of carefree-ness riding gave me. I had no idea where he was taking me, but I didn't care. As long as I was free of my mother and Fletcher, I was a happy girl.

All too soon, we arrived at a secluded park, surrounded by big, leafy trees that provided shade from the hot/cold sun. I undid my helmet and quickly fixed my ponytail. Sam removed his helmet and took mine to hang up. He jumped off the bike and bowed, stretching his hand for me to take.
